Sukhbir Singh Badal Launches 1905 Web Portal and Mobile App for Grievance Redress

After successful implementation of toll free – 1905 helpline, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal launched 1905 web portal and mobile application for citizens of state to register their grievances online besides tracking complaint status and giving feedback.

 

Speaking on the launch, Deputy Chief Minister said that 1905 is an endeavor to ensure a happy Punjab, where people can conveniently reach the relevant departments for their grievances and get effective redress of the same.  Through this automated system we would be able to identify the areas of grievances, which would lead to governance reforms.

 

He further added that from receipt of grievances from citizens, receipt of reports from departments to final disposal of the grievance, all processes are system enabled.

 

"1905.Punjab.gov.in" would provide single platform to the people to lodge their grievances regarding different departments of state Government. 1905 web portal has a special corner for senior citizens to lodge their grievances for better and effective monitoring of their grievances.  The manual system has been replaced by complete automation of processing of grievances. Now every complainant would receive a SMS or email after the registration of grievance and system would provide provision for future tracking of complaint’s status. Timely updates would also be provided to each applicant through SMS or email.

 

The web portal has provision of citizen feedback for all departmental helplines, Information about helplines of departments and web links of the concerned department’s grievance portal. The "mobile app 1905" contains all features of the 1905 web portal.

 

It is worth mentioning here that two Deputy CM helpline services are already working in the state including1905 toll free number and email service with email address "sukhbirsinghbadal@punjab.gov.in"

 

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal also launched SMS service through which Out Circle Mobile Subscribersentering into State of Punjab would receive a welcome SMS by Punjabgovernment saying “ The Govt of Punjab welcomes you to Punjab andwishes a pleasant stay. In case of any help, Please dial Deputy CM’stoll free number 1905.” Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) includingAirtel, Tata, Aircel, BSNL, idea, Vodafone, Reliance, Reliance Jio,Videocon, Quadrant Televenture, HFCL, SSTL, MTS and ConnectTeleventure, operating in Punjab, will provide this service under theirCorporate Social Responsibility.

 

Prominent among others present on the occasionincluded Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. N.K. Sharma, ChiefSecretary Mr. SarveshKaushal, Principal Secretary to CM Mr SK Sandhu, Principal Secretary to Deputy CM PS Aujla Special Principal Secretaryto CM Gagandeep Singh Brar, Media Advisor to Deputy CM MrJangveerSingh, Special Principal Secretaries to Deputy CM Mr. Ajay Mahajan andMr. Rahul Tewari, Addl. Secretary Grievances and Nodal Officer/ Deputy CM Grievances Cell Ms. RupanjaliKarthik, OSD to Deputy CM Mr.Charanjit Singh Brar. Besides this, Joint CCA department oftele communication, Miss ShilpiSinha, Jt. CCA Dr. Mandeep Singh,Navjeet Sangwan from Aircel, Amit Chauhan from Tata tel, Deepak Sinha from Reliance, Miss Shreya from Airtel, Dipin Bedhra from Vodafone and Manoj Madan from Idea were also present in the occasion.
