This milestone marks the world’s first instance of a classification society approving a fully indigenous engine health monitoring solution, positioning India at the forefront of data-driven, sustainable, and cost-efficient maritime operations.

As part of the collaboration, the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has awarded Type Approval Certification to Neptunus for its VIB 360 – Engine Condition Monitoring System and Torque Sense SHAPOLI, marking the world’s first instance of indigenously developed, IRS-certified condition-monitoring technologies for marine diesel engines and propulsion systems.

The certification demonstrates India’s capability to deliver globally compliant, export-ready maritime solutions built entirely at home. Traditionally, ship maintenance followed fixed OEM intervals, conservative and costly. With VIB 360, fleets shift to Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), thereby eliminating unplanned downtime, enhancing reliability, reducing maintenance costs by up to 30% (based on previous experience), optimizing fuel efficiency, and thus reducing emissions. This shift from time-based to data-driven maintenance represents a foundational step in India’s Digital Maritime Vision; enhancing operational reliability, reducing downtime, and cutting carbon emissions through precision diagnostics.

Under the MoU, IRS and Neptunus will jointly develop frameworks and standards for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) to help the maritime industry transition from traditional, time-based maintenance to real-time, data-led maintenance practices. The collaboration aims to enhance operational reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and contribute to India’s Green Shipping and Digital Maritime Vision.

Generate E-Way bills on Mobile: This latest feature will provide users the ability to generate e-way bills on mobile phones. This feature has been available on myBillBook’s web app so far but it has recently been integrated into its mobile application as well. On the plight of companies who buy HR/Payroll software because it comes from a big brand, Mr Raman said that it is the case of a lopsided balance of power where vendors get to dictate the customers. “Large brands do not necessarily have expertise in the HR/Payroll domain. They enter this sector as part of their strategy to leverage their brand strength. Developed without domain expertise, their products are not comprehensive enough and the support they provide may not be effective. They also charge a bomb for customisation and modifications to accommodate ongoing changes in business and regulatory domains.”

2. National Conclave - November 2022

The second tier of the initiative will be the National Conclave of Start-ups in November this year. All start-ups shortlisted at five to six state conclaves (up to 25 from each state conclave) will be invited to join the national event. In addition, a few promising start-ups, who may not have joined any of the State Conclaves but have the potential, will be invited to join the final selection process at National Conclave.The final composition of the Start-up Mission to the USA will be finalized (around 30 to 40) out of the Start-ups selected from the State Conclaves.

Whereas the Start-ups finally selected for Mission to the USA will be provided travel assistance plus their complete engagements/meetings during the visit to the USA.

3. Mission to the USA - January 2023

The delegation of selected Tech Start-ups shall visit the United States with pre-fixed agenda with a visit to a leading Technology Event and meetings with global start-ups in the USA to understand market dynamics, marketing strategies, and potential from the export market perspective.While in the USA, visiting Indian Start-ups will also get a chance to meet some High Net-worth Individuals (HNIs), Investors, and Venture Capitalists (VCs) who have shown interest to be a part of Indian Start-ups Success Story by investing in promising Indian Start-ups.

First start-up State Conclave has been organised at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on 6^th September 2022 for selecting potential startups for National Conclave.

The agreement between RISE and the universities is unique because it will leverage the institutions' strengths to create better opportunities in technical education that meets the current and future workforce demands. Most importantly, the objective would be to help meet the industry needs of students to support their "College to Corporate" journey.

As per the MoUs, RISE would play the role of a strategic implementation partner. The RISE team would help the universities to design customized technology programs that integrate into their curriculum through experiences such as blended learning, multi-disciplinary learning and activity-based learning. RISE would work with the universities in content curation, monitoring the learning program and conducting periodic assessments. The students who excel in this program will have project work or internship opportunities with Rishabh Software.

The Cheems Inu team believes they can properly combine the lighthearted fun of a meme token with utility and function, to create a truly revolutionary crypto project. MemeTools Development on Schedule

Part one in this plan is already in development and involves creating a universal hub for meme token listings, charts, and educational material. This site, knowns as MemeTools, will be operational in its initial version during Q1 2022. Later in 2022, a swap functionality called CheemSwap will be added.

Addressing the town hall meeting, Injala CEO Hyder Naqvi told the employees how innovation has shaped the company and how it will continue to drive future growth. He exhorted employees to continue to embrace change, innovate the way they think and work, look outside the box for inspiration, and imagine beyond today’s solutions.

Naqvi recalled how the launch of Injala’s WrapPortal, a network-based technology solution that automates the wrap-up certification process of commercial construction insurance, had resulted in 200% annual growth for many years, revenue growth of 300%, a three-fold expansion in the team strength, and creation of “innovation initiative” teams devoted to design, data science, and specific product engineering tasks.

He recounted some of the company’s firsts including being the first SAAS-based company in commercial insurance space, the first to automate processes including enrolment, payroll, reporting, closeouts, emails and alerts, and reviewed how the period from 2014-2018 laid the foundation for Injala’s current products and those to be launched in the coming months.

Naqvi also gave an overview of the soon-to-be-released technology products including Asuretify, which provides indisputable insurance authentication, Anzenn, the automated safety and loss control solution that uses object detection technology, and Kinetic, which provides digital policy management.

In his presentation, Injala COO Rajeev Varshneya provided an overview of the company’s roadmap to success. Other presentations included product development updates regarding WrapPortal presented by Nikhil Khoda, Anzenn by Ujesh Patel, Kinetic by Anand Thaker, and Asuretify by Sachi Mehta and Naveen Valera.

The Edge Defined

VMware defines the edge as distributed digital infrastructure for running workloads across a multitude of locations, placed close to users and devices producing and consuming data. Where a workload is placed at the edge is key to meeting the requirements of edge-native apps.

• An edge-native workload placed anywhere between the cloud and the remote customer location and delivered as a service is called the near edge.

• An edge-native workload placed at a remote customer location at the closest proximity to the endpoints is called the far edge. 

Edge-native apps require a multi-cloud edge. One that stitches together underlay services running on a service provider network (e.g., private connectivity, carrier 5G, network slicing) with overlay services delivered on top (e.g., SASE) and a compute services abstraction for the edge applications. All orchestrated by a management plane that provides consistent observability, installation, configuration, operations and management across all edge locations.

Introducing VMware Edge

VMware Edge brings together products from across VMware that will enable organizations to run, manage and better secure edge-native apps across multiple clouds at both near edge and far edge locations. Workloads Running on VMware are More Secure

VMware is announcing the industry-first elastic application security edge (EASE, pronounced as “easy”) which enables the networking and security infrastructure at the data center or cloud edge to flex and adjust as app traffic changes. VMware provides an elastic set of data plane services for networking, security, and observability, and a unique scale-out distributed architecture that enables an EASE environment to grow and shrink as app needs change.

For most organizations, rarely can they focus on securing only a single environment. VMware research shows customers are using multiple public clouds to run their business in addition to their on-premises data center⁽⁴⁾. CloudHealth Secure State introduces the next-generation of its unified search and investigation engine to improve visibility, security and compliance simultaneously across multiple public cloud environments. Customers now benefit from real-time search to find cloud resources, visualize relationships, inspect meta data and change activity, and overlay risk assessment across multiple cloud accounts, regions, and providers into a single actionable view.

Finally, ransomware is proving effective, pervasive and profitable. VMware offers both advanced protection and rapid recovery from ransomware attacks. VMware Carbon Black Cloud can now be enabled with a simple switch in VMware vCenter, making protection from ransomware attacks simpler and faster to deploy. VMware is now announcing rapid recovery capabilities in the event ransomware gets through defenses. VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery is an easy-to-use, cost-effective DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS) solution that enables more rapid recovery at scale so organizations are better positioned to avoid paying the ransom. Customers can utilize a deep history of immutable snapshots stored in an isolated cloud file system, instant VM power-on for iterative security evaluations, and powerful orchestration for highly automated testing, failover, and failback to recover end-to-end IT apps and data sets after a ransomware attack.

VMware Is Pioneering Modern App Security

Modern apps create a new set of challenges for both security operators and developers. These apps can be made of thousands of components that communicate via APIs. This makes APIs the new endpoint that legacy cut-and-paste security approaches were not designed to secure.

VMware Tanzu Service Mesh Advanced edition is now bringing a new level of distributed visibility, discovery, and security to APIs. Tanzu Service Mesh Advanced helps customers improve app resiliency and reliability and reduce blind spots with contextual API behavior security. New Tanzu Service Mesh advancements enable developers and security teams to each gain a better understanding of when, where, and how APIs are communicating, even across multi-cloud environments, enabling better DevSecOps. Additionally, CloudHealth Secure State now delivers Kubernetes Security Posture Management (KSPM) that delivers the ability to provide deep visibility into misconfiguration vulnerabilities across both Kubernetes clusters and connected public cloud resources. The Secure State KSPM solution today supports 176 rules including CIS Benchmarks for managed services such as Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Google Kubernetes Engine.

VMware Leads Anywhere Workspace Security

With the shift to distributed workforces, employees must be provided with the appropriate levels of controlled access to apps and data from wherever they choose to work. VMware Anywhere Workspace is an integrated workforce solution built on industry-leading and award-winning technologies that empower employees, reduce IT silos and operational overhead, and provide broader and more effective security.

VMware SASE is adding a new inline cloud access service broker (CASB) service to help IT gain more visibility and control over app access. IT teams can more effectively apply role-based access policies to cloud-delivered apps and identify use or abuse of unsanctioned apps. Forthcoming Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities will help organizations better comply with HIPAA, GDPR, PCI and other data privacy laws by preventing sensitive data from leaving pre-defined environments. The new Workspace ONE next-generation compliance engine examines thousands of posture checks on device, OS, and apps. This will enable desired state and perform remediation with minimal impact on end-user experience. VMware Carbon Black integrates with Workspace ONE and is now optimized for Horizon VDI environments, helping secure the distributed edge while providing remote workers with an optimal experience.

Finally, VMware and Intel are working to deliver a solution that will uniquely help secure edge environments starting from the silicon and extending to devices and apps. The solution will create a direct link between the Intel vPro® platform and VMware Workspace ONE to enable automated out-of-band maintenance that keeps PCs up-to-date on the latest security patches and infosec policies no matter where they are located or the state of the operating system. Intelligent analytics with access to rich hardware-level telemetry will enable customers to proactively minimize security risk and maximize employee experience.
