'Braj Ki Holi Omaxe Wali’ came alive at Omaxe Eternity 2

Graced by Shri Rohtaas Goel, Chairman, Omaxe Group and other distinguished guests, the celebration paid tribute to the timeless spirit of Braj, where Holi is not just a festival, but an emotion woven into its spiritual and cultural fabric.

The evening opened with a divine Ganesh Vandana, setting a reverent tone for the celebrations. The stage then came alive with a series of powerful thematic performances, including the compelling Shiva Act, the energetic Hanumana Act, and the evocative Luv Kush Act, all conceptualised and performed by the dynamic Crazy Hoopers. Seamlessly blending storytelling, choreography and high-impact visuals, the troupe held the audience spellbound and added a distinctive theatrical dimension to the festivities.

Lit For Life 2026 has already begun its journey beyond the main festival dates. In November and December 2025, Lit For Life Dialogues and Lit For Life Unplugged have taken the spirit of the festival into cities and communities, extending conversations beyond traditional auditoriums. Pongal fete gets all its rustic charm at Dr. MGR-Janaki College for Women

Over 4000 students wearing traditional Half Sari / Silk Sari added perfect color to the celebrations. Kummiyattam, Garagattam, Oyilaatam, Kaavadiyaattam, Silambaattam and Folk Dances performed by students made onlookers tap their feet to the beat. Special children also performed a Gramiya Nadanam in the occasion.

There were shops entirely set up and managed by students. They played vendors and sold Bangles & Balloons, Sugarcane Juice, Butter Milk, Tender Coconuts and Cotton Candy and more. Scenes of Mehendi Artists, Parrot fortune-telling, porridge vending, Bhajji and Sundal stalls brought alive the beauty of village sandhai.

Students’ harmonic chorus of ‘Pongalo… Pongal’ ripped the air when the Pongal came to a boil, the main dish offered to god as thanksgiving for good crop and harvest. With this the festivity came to a close.

Celebrations like this will help younger generation realize the richness of our culture and pass on it to the next generation. Sargaalaya Kerala Arts and Crafts Village at Iringal, near Vatakara in Kozhikode district, is envisioned to be developed as a globally benchmarked cultural, experiential, and interpretative destination for Malabar. The proposed development reimagines Sargaalaya not merely as a craft village, but as an integrated cultural institution that interprets regional heritage, nurtures creativity, produces knowledge, and anchors a wider tourism ecosystem across North Kerala. The focus is on creating a living cultural landscape where heritage, contemporary practice, tourism, and community livelihoods intersect.

The development places strong emphasis on immersive visitor engagement through interactive craft zones, daily demonstrations, curated workshops, and guided interpretation. Craft spaces will be reconfigured to allow larger visitor participation, supported by a central craft emporium and dedicated workshops that enable skill development, innovation, residencies, and fair market access for artisans. These interventions ensure that crafts remain dynamic, living practices rather than static displays.

At the heart of the project is the Cultural Experience and Interpretation Centre, conceived as the primary narrative anchor for Malabar. Through curated exhibitions, multimedia installations, immersive digital environments, and interactive archives, the centre will present Malabar’s maritime history, social reform movements, resistance traditions, ecological knowledge, and cultural pluralism, offering visitors a coherent entry point into the region’s layered cultural landscapes.

A series of thematic developments will structure the expanded Sargaalaya ecosystem. The Literature City will position Malabar as a living literary landscape through writers’ retreats, multilingual libraries, translation and publishing labs, literary residencies, and immersive experiences linking literature with place, memory, and social history. The Kalari Village, rooted in the martial traditions of Kadathanad, will integrate training, performance, research, wellness, and interpretation through traditional arenas, therapy centres, and an interactive martial arts museum.

The project places strong emphasis on the documentation and preservation of performing arts, supported by digital archives, performance-capture studios, and immersive experience centres for art forms such as Theyyam, Kathakali, Kalaripayattu, and Mappila songs. A Living Heritage Programme will support artists through apprenticeships, fellowships, residencies, and contemporary collaborations, ensuring continuity alongside creative evolution.

Sargaalaya is envisioned as a year-round cultural destination with robust performance infrastructure, including open-air amphitheatres, indoor auditoriums, flexible venues, and artist residency facilities. Regular performances, curated weekend programmes, and four large-scale annual cultural productions will ensure sustained activation. A flagship attraction, Malabar Symphony, is proposed as a large-scale light-and-sound hybrid immersive storytelling experience narrating Malabar’s maritime history, resistance movements, ecological consciousness, and cultural evolution. Conceived as a thirty-five-minute production staged twice daily, Malabar Symphony is proposed to be developed in collaboration with leading national and international artists, with concept and direction by Revathy, screenplay and narrative by Shankar Ramakrishnan, music composition by A.R. Rahman, sound design by Resul Pookkutty, technical direction by Alphons, theatre direction by Royston Abel, animation and visual effects by Aravind, and voice performances by distinguished artists including Mammootty, Manju Warrier, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Anoop Menon, Sayonara Philip, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

A dedicated Children’s Cultural and Experiential Zone will offer play-based learning rooted in Malabar’s cultural narratives and ecological contexts, integrating creative activity spaces, nature-linked exploration, and water-based learning experiences. Complementing this are structured workshops and creative learning programmes across crafts, music, theatre, movement, painting, and visual arts, catering to students, artists, tourists, and cultural professionals.

The development adopts a hub-and-spoke tourism model, positioning Sargaalaya as the central orientation and interpretation hub for integrated cultural, riverine, coastal, literary, martial, and culinary circuits across Malabar. River-based journeys and water experiences will function as experiential corridors, foregrounding ecology, heritage, and local livelihoods.

The ecosystem further includes curated food tourism and culinary experiences, including festivals and a floating restaurant rooted in Malabar cuisine; a handloom, design, and retail zone supporting innovation and contemporary applications of traditional textiles; a vibrant flea market strengthening the informal cultural economy; and facilities for social, cultural, and community events, conferences, exhibitions, destination weddings, and themed cultural ceremonies.

To enable deeper immersion, the project proposes on-site accommodation and stay facilities designed in harmony with the landscape and local architectural traditions, supporting multi-day cultural tourism, artist residencies, research stays, and family travel. Through this integrated approach, the upcoming phase of Sargaalaya positions culture as core infrastructure for development, envisioning a globally relevant model for experiential, responsible, and knowledge-driven cultural tourism that interprets Malabar for contemporary and international audiences.

Mehtab Ali Niazi and ensemble performs at the First Chapter of Songs of the Stone at the Qutub Minar
 

Hosted in association with Delhi Tourism and the Archaeological Survey of India, and co-presented by Max Estates, the evening was conceived as an intimate encounter between music, architecture and atmosphere, allowing the monument’s presence to shape the evening.
 

Curated by Simar Malhotra, founder at Inkpot India and an alumna of Stanford University and Columbia University, the evening featured a sitar performance by Mehtab Ali Niazi and his ensemble, whose repertoire was developed in response to the scale and acoustic character of the Qutub Minar. The performance drew from classical foundations while responding to the monument’s acoustics and setting. The evening opened with an address by Eric Chopra, author and founder of Itihasology who spoke on India’s living heritage, reflecting on the cultural continuum of the Qutub Minar and the Mehrauli region before the central musical performance commenced.
 

The musical experience was designed to engage all five senses through a considered integration of sound, sight, scent, taste and touch, creating an immersive cultural environment. The format emphasised attentiveness and presence, with the monument remaining central to the experience.

SHIFT 2025 opens up with an exclusive ticketed preview on 19 December, featuring the celebrated stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi and independent singer-songwriter Justh, who became a national talking point with his 2023 release 'Chor'. This edition highlights the crafts of Rajasthan and India at large through hands-on experiences such as hand-block printing, pottery, embroidery workshops, and more.
 

The star of the show is often the annual folk-dance circle, headlined by master Kalbeliya artists, which attracts 500+ visitors who dance to folk songs, vibe in unison, and sing along to long-lost songs of Rajasthan. Aaquib Wani, a self-taught experiential designer and founder & creative director - Aaquib Wani Design, who specialises in spaces, festivals, sets, interiors, and branding, will be hosting a session on design. He provided his guidance and worked closely with the writer and Director, J.P. Singh, in shaping the story. Yugpurush was performed by Rangbhoomi, a celebrated Delhi-based theatre group active since 1992, for staging a wide range of plays over the years.

Ajay–Kaushiki Chakraborty, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma and many others. This year’s edition brought together celebrated artistes such as Shri Purbayan Chatterjee, Pt. Sajan, Swaransh Mishra, Pt. Prattyush Banerjee, and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, drawing connoisseurs of music from across the city.

Yugpurush also stood out as one of J.P. Singh’s most accomplished productions, noted for its scale and attention to detail in set, light design, sound, and costumes. The three-layered stage created striking visual depth, particularly in the scene where Vivekananda realises the divinity of Ramakrishna Paramahansa, told through a mythical backstory. The performances were powerful and convincing, with strong casting that brought authenticity to the portrayal, while the musical renditions added a distinct spiritual resonance to the evening.

The catalogue extends to early etchings and woodcuts by B.B. Mukherjee (1936–48), a lyrical F.N. The Vintage Advertisements and Posters section (Lots 1–35) charts a vivid visual history. Standout pieces include a late-19th-century Bradford Dyers’ Association trade poster (“Colour is the King of Cloth”), a rare Erasmic “Himalaya Bouquet” perfume panel (late 1920s–30s), and a 1932 Karachi religious calendar on Sanatan Dharma. The glamour of mid-20th-century cinema is captured in a set of 20 Lux Soap Filmfare advertisements featuring stars from Suraiya to Asha Parekh, while a set of four Agfa promotional half-sheet posters reflects the early popularisation of photography in India.

This ancient form of Traditional Indian Music is an important part of our rich Cultural Heritage. Originally known as ‘Pushtimargi Sangeet’ and is typically performed in temples of Lord Krishna (havelis). It is a description of Lord Krishna’s daily life activities, that has been written by ‘Ashtachap Kavis’ (8 Saints). This genre has significantly enriched the repertoire of our vast Indian Music. The legendary Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj is singularly instrumental in taking this unique and beautiful divine genre to the masses, with his compositions, which became hugely popular globally.

Inspired by History
The Sri Venugopalakrishnaswamy Temple, situated by the Cauvery River in Paschimavahini, Srirangapatna (near Mysore, Karnataka), is a cherished spiritual and cultural heritage site. As per the temple's sthala purana from 1810 C.E., a devout Kodugu Sreenivasa Iyengar unearthed the idol of Sri Venugopalakrishnaswamy beneath an Aswatha tree, guided by a divine vision. This historic temple remains a significant pilgrimage center, especially during Tula Sankramana (mid-October to mid-November).

True to this founding principle this organisation has undertaken yet another significant spiritual venture of conducting a Mahayagya and yatra aimed towards the objective of benefitting the people of Bihar and furthering their spiritual and social progress.

If the metaphor of body politic is used for Bharat, then Bihar might stereotypically be perceived as a decay prone organ by the common citizen, given how a certain idea of backwardness has come to be associated with it. This erroneous perception ignores Bihar’s rich cultural Sanatani heritage where it has not only been home to the great Nalanda university— a bastion of education and knowledge but it is also a land of many ancient Hindu temples.

Pancham Dham has undertaken the task of reviving the splendour of Bihar through the mammoth spiritual Vedic initiative of Mahayagya and yatra expected to reach over crores of people and usher in Sanatani spiritual awakening. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the ritual of yagya is where spirituality meets science. Yagya or Yajna, an ancient Vedic ritual focuses on purifying the body, spirit and the environment by restoring balance. Scientific studies of this Vedic ritual have proved that when the medicinal herbs and the items devoted to the sacred fire vaporize, the generated smoke helps eliminate harmful microbes and release beneficial phytochemicals which positively influence various bodily functions especially by bringing about hormonal balance.

Yagya is also linked to improvements in digestion, hypertension, mental tranquillity, and sleep quality, with regular chanting contributing to mental clarity and purification of both body and spirit. Pancham Dham, strongly motivated by its principles of serving the nation, has embarked on the initiative of uplifting Bihar through these ancient practices of Vedanta.

The incipient Mahayagya was initiated by RSS’s national executive Shree Indresh Kumar ji in Madhepura, Bihar by hoisting the Mahayagya Pataka (flag), on 7th September 2024 on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The initiative will further unfold over the coming months, wherein the Pataka (flag) will travel across 38 districts and reach Patna on 11th February 2025. During this journey Mahamrityunjaya Yagya and pooja will be performed in 108 ancient Shiva temples across Bihar. More than 2 lakhs people are expected to daily participate in these spiritual Vedic prayers and yajna, with an expected participation reaching up to 20-25 lakhs for the duration of the whole event. The 11 days long yatra will take place between 16th to 25th February 2025. Not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring that the people of Bihar obtain maximum benefit from this venture - 11 marriages of people from the needy section of society will be performed every day, daily talks by the spiritual leaders and saints will take place accompanied by various cultural programs. This colossal initiative is estimated to reach out to more than 1 crore people to educate and revive the glorious Vedic practices, rituals of Bharat and bring peace, prosperity and enlightenment to the state of Bihar. This initiative undertaken by Pancham Dham for Bihar’s spiritual welfare and social emancipation is a cause that resonates with the people of this state but is especially close to the heart of the NRIs from Bihar.

This spiritual endeavour by Pancham Dham pays obeisance to the great Bhakti Saint Ravidas in the 150 days long Sanatan Yatra. Saint Ravidas stands tall amongst the Bhakti Saints, born into the untouchable leather-working caste; his life and works not only led to social reform but his teachings emphasized gender equality, the abolition of the caste system and social justice. This Mahayagya and yatra inspired by his life and teachings intends to inspire and re-introduce the public to this great Bhakti saint, the organisation raises its voice against the evils of caste system by venerating the saint who rose above this bane to follow the enlightened path of bhakti.

Another upcoming noteworthy event announced by Nyas is the organisation of the 8th Yatra to Cambodia commencing on 25th May 2025, promising to be a truly magnificent and soul stirring journey this is potentially the largest Sanatan festival in South-East Asian since 2018.

The Sanatani feat is expected to reach out to crores of people and is geared towards establishing Bihar as the first Sanatan state of Bharat, adopt and revive Vedic practices in its ancient temples, to emancipate the entire state and lead it on to the path of spiritual enlightenment.

Recently concluded exhibition “Alekhyamangal” was artist Siddhartha Sengupta's 25th solo and a great success. The event at the renowned Jahangir Art Gallery was in collaboration and support of RPG Art Foundation. It saw footfall of spectators from all walks of life who came to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of the Mahabharata through Sengupta’s 55 captivating artworks showcasing his mastery of watercolours and line drawings.

Sengupta is a seasoned artist with 37 years of artistic journey and has studied Fine Arts at the College of Visual Arts, Kolkata. His passion for interpreting ancient epics through modern art has earned him several accolades, including recognition from the West Bengal State Akademi of Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts.

In a conversation with the artist Siddhartha Sengupta, we delved into the inspiration and stories behind his recent exhibition, which took centre stage at his jubilee solo exhibition.

Mahabharata has a magnetic pull on his artistic soul. "It's a treasure trove of narratives and characters that provide an expansive canvas for artistic exploration," Siddhartha mused. "Each character, each episode, and each nuance in the Mahabharata carries profound layers of meaning and emotions. It's a reservoir of timeless stories that transcend the boundaries of time and culture. Exploring this epic is a spiritual journey where I delve deep into the essence of human existence and the cosmic drama that unfolds in this ancient text,” he added.

The exhibition showcased 55 watercolors and line drawings, each telling a tale. Siddhartha illuminated the essence of one painting, a divine encounter between Krishna and Sarasvati. "It's a symbolic dance of purity and auspiciousness," Siddhartha explained. "Through the delicate strokes and the hues used, I have tried to create a visual symphony that goes beyond the canvas and showcases the convergence of divine energies. It's a narrative frozen in time."

Another masterpiece is dedicated to a deity, created by Sengupta’s imagination that believes in confluence of various religions and cultures. Saint Dev, is a divine amalgamation embodying aspects of Jesus, Mother Mary, Sai Baba, and Buddha. "It's a representation of unity in spiritual diversity," Siddhartha elucidated.

The artist took us behind the scenes, describing the months-long process for certain paintings. “The attempt at the ‘one-stroke finish technique’ of a painting of Shiva wearing a lion hide is particularly close to my heart," Siddhartha confessed. “Some pieces take up as long as up to 4 to 5 months to complete.”

When asked about his choice of mediums, Sengupta explains that watercolors and line drawings offer him the flexibility to convey intricate details and capture the ethereal essence of the Mahabharata narratives. “The fluidity of watercolors allows me to express the dynamism of the epic tales, while line drawings provide a nuanced and contemplative dimension. These mediums grant me the flexibility to convey intricate details and capture the ethereal essence of the Mahabharata in a way that resonates with my vision." Sengupta acknowledges that he consciously preserves the classical tones in his artworks reminiscent of the paintings from the early 2000s.

The artist has imbibed a lot of elements of the civilization of Mohenjo-Daro which are evident in the entirety of his 4 by 6 foot masterpieces. Sengupta's creative process involves integrating elements from different times in history into his artwork, creating a unique fusion of history and imagination. He says, “I intentionally weave the cultural threads of Mohenjo-Daro into my artwork. This ancient civilization, with its mysteries and marvels, serves as a wellspring of inspiration. By infusing these elements, I aim to transcend time, creating a visual bridge that connects the past and present. History, for me, is not a relic but a living essence that adds depth and meaning to the narratives I wish to convey through my art.”

Awards, to Siddhartha, are humbling validations. "They tell me that my art resonates with people, encouraging me to push artistic boundaries," he acknowledged.

On being asked about the future endeavours, Siddhartha expressed his eagerness to continue narrating stories through his art. "There's an uncharted expanse ahead, and I'm excited about the tales waiting to unfold. It's an ever-evolving journey.”

Kolkata Tram Festive Makeover

Kolkata's iconic tram, dating back to 1873, is a symbol of the city's history and charm. To celebrate this milestone, Asian Paints has given the tram from Tollygunge to Ballygunge a remarkable makeover coinciding with Kolkata's most important month of celebration. The tram on the Tollygunge route covers all the famous areas known to have historic and significant Pujo pandals, making it the ideal choice for this transformation.

 

Two bogies of the tram have been beautified by Asian Paints. The exteriors of the first bogie capture the extraordinary 38-year journey of Asian Paints Sharad Shamman (APSS) in Kolkata. It features hand-painted artworks honouring Kumartuli - the traditional potters' quarter in North Kolkata where Durga idols are sculpted. It also encapsulates Sindoor khela and Dhunuchi dance. The exterior artwork showcases the first print advertisement and the first winning pandal. The bogie also highlights the unique stories featured in 'People of Pujo' - a documentary series capturing the lives and passions of those who make Pujo the celebration what it is! On the tram we see a visually impaired artist who has commendable skills and women dhakis who challenge the masculine stronghold of the performing arts.

Conforming to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reiteration that Vietnam is a key partner of India's Act East Policy, the Namaste Vietnam Festival curated by Captain Rahul Bali has become an effective networking platform to promote business and cultural relations between India & Vietnam. MOU’s worth more than USD 1 billion were signed between business enterprises from both the nations during various seminars and meets as part of this Mega Festival conducted in different provinces across Vietnam from 12^th - 20^th August 2023.
 

Some of the biggest Railway Companies from India namely Railtel Corporation of India, Ashoka Buildcon Limited, Efftronics & JMV LPS Limited inked MOU’s with Big Railway & Infra Companies in Vietnam like the Hoa Binh Group and VIENC (Vietnam International Entrepreneurs Networking Corporation) at the India Vietnam Railway Cooperation Seminar during the Festival. Vietnam is looking at upgrading its rail infrastructure by building 2000 km of new track for Trans Vietnam High Speed Rail by 2030 with a total investment of over USD 58 billion. Vietnam Railways is thus looking for transfer of expertise and technology in various fields like modernization, signalling and safety systems and is seeking partnership of Indian Companies in railway projects of Vietnam. The MOU’s were signed for transfer of technology and expertise of Indian companies for the upgradation of Vietnam Railways.

In the Tourism sector more than 10 MOU’s were signed between the visiting Tour Operators from India and some of the leading Hotels & Tour Companies in Ho Chi Minh City, Dalat, Phu Yen, Ha Nam & Hanoi to promote tourism in both the countries. The MOU’s were signed during the “India – Vietnam Tourism Cooperation Seminars” held in different cities across Vietnam in the presence of His Excellency the Consul General of India Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi and leaders of various provinces.
 

In another Landmark event towards boosting the cultural relations between India & Vietnam, A MOU was signed between the Government of Phu Yen province of Vietnam and the Curator of Namaste Vietnam Festival, Captain Rahul Bali towards Film Cooperation and Collaboration in Film Making. The ceremony was organised at the beautiful Stelia Beach Resort in Phu Yen and was attended by the Honourable Consul General of India Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Eminent Filmmakers & Actors from India and a number of Vietnamese Dignitaries. The festival encompassed four significant components that included an Indian Film Festival featuring the World Premiere of 2 Indian Films - Anupam Kher’s ‘The Signature' & Rahat Kazmi's 'Kaya Palat' which also were the opening and closing films at the festival and saw full houses. Additionally, the esteemed Indian singer Alisha Chinai whose famous song 'Made in India' holds immense popularity in Vietnam enthralled the audiences with her absolutely mesmerising musical performances.

A symphony of flavours and sounds at the Moscow ‘Taste of Russia’ Festival!

From the iconic Kazan pilaf with chicken, and Ryazan Kurnik (chicken pie), to the savoury delights of Nizhny Novgorod okroshka, the food festival is offering a range of gastronomical pleasures. This culinary event offers not only the chance to savour exquisite Russian delicacies but also to learn the art of preparing them. Expert chefs are unveiling the secrets behind these time-honoured recipes through an array of 550 master classes and cooking shows tailored to suit all levels of culinary expertise.

The festival also features rare and exotic products such as apples from Stavropol, lamb from Dagestan, cedar milk from Tomsk, Altai cheeses, and succulent crabs from Murmansk. More than 300 passionate producers from 70 regions of Russia are participating to showcase their finest offerings at the event. 

Children will not be bored either as the Young Farmer's School is present at the event to teach them the basics of beekeeping, vegetable growing and cheese-making. They are also getting the opportunity to practise traditional Tula Pryanik (Tula gingerbread) painting. Moreover, traditional songs and dances of Russia’s diverse ethnic groups are being presented on Manezhnaya Square throughout the event. Also, the mesmerising sounds produced by the hand-crafted mouth harp Khakass Khomus is keeping the visitors enthralled.

Guests from India can taste unique treats at 25 venues across the city, with Manezhnaya Square taking centre stage as the main venue.

Soul of Russia International Festival of the Peoples of the North, Held as Part of SPIEF 2023
 

The Festival focuses on contemporary reinterpretation of the traditions, historical heritage and unique handicrafts of the indigenous peoples of the North. More than 500 musicians, artists, craftsmen, designers, lecturers and other representatives of creative industries from 15 Russian regions took part in the Festival. The event featured 14 exhibitions, more than 20 workshops and 16 film screenings as part of the Spirit of Fire Academy’s Northern Film Festival, including a preview screening of “The Yugra Novellas”. Six ethnic dwellings and works by seven street artists were also on display at the Lenfilm studio. The programme included more than 30 lectures, seven fashion shows and performances by over 30 music groups. The festival featured a dance team from the Indian Embassy and a delegation from the UAE, who presented a dance group performance, treated guests to a national tent and conducted various workshops. More than 5,000 people attended the Festival events.
 

An agreement on developing cultural cooperation was signed on 14 June, the opening day of the Soul of Russia Festival. The document was signed by Nadezhda Preobodnaya, Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Natalya Komarova, Governor of Yugra, and Alexander Stuglev, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.
 

“The achievements of the creative industries are traditionally well represented at major Russian business events. At the Soul of Russia Festival, SPIEF participants were able to appreciate the impressive results of efforts to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia’s North. The sociocultural aspect of the development of the northern regions remains one of our top priorities,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
 

“As part of the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Roscongress Foundation enshrined in the agreement, Yugra undertakes to create an ecosystem for developing creative industries and training personnel. In this context, the Creative Industries School project of Russia’s Ministry of Culture is being successfully implemented in the region. A delegation of its students worked here at Lenfilm making an animated film about SPIEF. We will soon see the results of this work,” said Yugra Governor Natalya Komarova.

The record for the largest birthday greeting card flown using a drone was set by Droneacharya Aerial Innovations Limited, Pune, Maharashtra. The Drone startup conducted a Drone Show at United Sports Badminton Court, Pune, Maharashtra wherein they lifted an 8x12 feet large greeting card to a height of 20 feet using a hexacopter heavy liftoff drone showcasing the skill and experience of the pilots who manually controlled the drone. The Drone show was conducted on September 16, 2022 to celebrate the 72nd Birthday of PM Narendra Modi, as confirmed on December 14, 2022.

The record for Maximum Websites Launched by university students in a single day was set by Suresh Gyan Vihar University of Jaipur, Rajasthan, wherein students of the university launched 542 websites in multiple domains like sports, social awareness, e-commerce, education, and many more on live servers in a single day, on December 16, 2022.

Longest duration to conduct webinars on sustainable development of the nation

The Institution of Engineers (India), Tamil Nadu state centre and its 16 local centres, India set a record for longest duration to conduct webinars on sustainable development of the nation. A total 106 hours of webinars were conducted across 17 institutions with the participation of 6233 students on the topic ‘Sustainable Developments of the Nation - The Role of Engineers’. The webinars started from April 23, 2022 and ended on November 30, 2022 across Tamil Nadu as confirmed on December 7, 2022.

Rajasthan's Bikaner hosted a 9-days Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav. The event was organised by Union Ministry of Culture from 25^th February to 5^th March, 2023. The 14^th edition of Mahotsav was inaugurated by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu by beating Nagada on 27th February, 2023.

While the cultural festival showcased cultural diversity of India, the unique feature of the festival was Digital Pavilion that presented Indian Cultural Heritage on Postal Stamps, released by India Post through virtual reality, augmented reality, and transparent interactive art displays.

The theme of the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav is “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” with an objective to preserve, promote and popularise Indian culture and heritage including folk art forms, cuisine and handicraft etc. The Mahotsav in Bikaner saw participation of around 1000 artists from across the country.

Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav is being organised since 2015 when first Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav was held in Delhi. Since then, the Mahotsav has been held in various States including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Working as a Senior Art Director with one of the best and most renowned healthcare companies in New York - Digitas Health, Vishali was enamoured by the idea of communicating the importance of emotional health and welfare through her artworks. The showcase is all about examining emotions through a prism. Vishali aims to capture the complexity and depth of a human being's innermost feelings and to bring to light its many nuances.

Padma Shri Shri Bhalu Mondhe shared, “I have known Vishali for a long time now and seen her grow as a person and as an artist. She is a huge repository of empathy which helps her see through the layers of human emotions. Prismatic is an embodiment of Vishali’s core.” 
 

Vishali Bawa said, “A person’s emotional strength is often defined by their ability to portray a strong front no matter how they feel. We live in a world mired by societal prejudices, constantly nudging us to suppress our feelings or, at the very least, replace the genuineness of our emotions with superficiality. This, in turn, can be detrimental to our mental well-being. I intend to provide my audience the space and time to introspect and tune in to their inner voice, to understand, accept, address, and express how they feel when they see an artwork. Through my artworks, the beholders will be transported into a world where they can experience, concede to, and celebrate their emotions.”

Vishali received her Master’s degree in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design, New York (The New School), consistently ranked one of the best institutions for art and design education in the United States and the world. Before that, she received her Bachelor’s in Applied Arts from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, an esteemed art institution in India affiliated with the University of Mumbai. She has previously worked on various Design and strategy projects for renowned organizations such as Endeavor (NY), WaterAid America (NY), Terreform1 (NY), and Leo Burnett (IN).
