A breathtaking moment during the ASBL Ram Navami celebration at RTC X ROADS
 

From the very beginning, the event created excitement and devotion in equal measure. It was not just a Ram Navami gathering, but a heartfelt experience that brought together faith, tradition, music, and community under one roof. The scale of the celebration, highlighted by a magnificent 55-feet Ram Ji cutout, the cultural performances, and the spiritual energy made the evening stand out as a truly special occasion.
 

One of the biggest highlights of the event was the 1 crore+ Rama Namas writing record attempt. This remarkable effort, supported by the presence of 108 pandits, added a historic and emotional dimension to the celebration. It reflected the deep devotion people have for Lord Rama and became a strong symbol of collective faith. Regular announcements during the event kept the audience connected to this meaningful achievement and built even more excitement throughout the evening.
 

The programme began with lamp lighting, followed by the sacred Srirama Kalyanam. As Vedic chants filled the venue, the atmosphere turned deeply devotional and serene. The ceremony drew devotees into the spirit of Ram Navami and set the tone for an evening filled with reverence and joy.
 

The celebration also featured a graceful Kuchipudi performance by Nritya Priya Academy, adding elegance and classical beauty to the event. Performances by Ramachari Garu’s students brought warmth and cultural richness to the stage. These moments gave the programme a strong traditional feel and made the evening even more meaningful for the audience.
 

A major musical highlight of the evening was the devotional performance by Sunitha Garu and team. Their soulful presentation added emotion and depth to the celebration, leaving a lasting impression on the devotees and guests present. The presence of Suma Kanakala and Aishwarya Rajesh added to the joy and importance of the occasion, making the evening even more special.
 

After the kalyanam, darshan was opened to everyone, allowing devotees to receive blessings and take part fully in the spiritual celebrations. It was also a divine moment to witness the lighting captured at the very top of the Ram Ji cutout, creating a breathtaking view that felt as if divine blessings were being showered upon everyone present. The event concluded on a sacred note as devotees received prasadam from Bhadrachalam, making the experience even more divine and memorable.
 

Through the Srirama Navami Kalyanam Mahotsava, ASBL created an evening that beautifully blended devotion, tradition, culture, and togetherness. It was a celebration that touched hearts, inspired faith, and gave people an experience they will remember for a long time.

Organised under the leadership of Mahamandaleswar Swami Anandavanam Bharathi Maharaj of Sri Juna Akhada, the 17-day congregation marked an extraordinary revival of a tradition at a grand scale, after over 270 years. According to organisers, more than two million devotees took part across the festival period, with peak-day footfall rising into the lakhs!

Mohanji Foundation’s Nila Aarti: Bringing the living lineage of Kashi to Kerala

A central spiritual highlight of Mahamagham Mahotsav 2026 was the daily Nila Aarti (Nila Aarathi), organised by Mohanji Foundation under the guidance and blessings of Brahmarishi Dr. Mohanji. From January 19 to February 3, the riverbank transformed each evening into a vibrant field of devotion as thousands gathered to witness the sacred Aarti Seva.

Mohanji Foundation arranged to bring an expert team of pandits from Varanasi to Thirunavayya, bringing the recognizable sanctity and discipline of the Kashi tradition into Kerala’s spiritual landscape, and symbolising a powerful unification of North and South Indian lineages through shared worship.

Ammucare’s Annadaan: Compassion at scale, every day

Alongside the spiritual programs, Ammucare (Ammucare Charitable Trust) - a platform founded by Mohanji and dedicated to supporting the needy, led Anna Prasada Samarpanam, providing nutritious meals to pilgrims, sadhus, volunteers, and visitors through a continuously operating Annakshetra (free food service) during the festival. Devotees partook of breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the kitchen and facilities running for almost 24hours everyday, throughout the festival. 

In the final phase of the gathering, meal service scaled dramatically, with Ammucare reporting almost 50,000 pilgrims served in a single day, reflecting the true Kumbh spirit of inclusiveness and selfless service.

Mohanji personally joined volunteers in serving pilgrims, offering a lived example of “shared joy of serving,” and reinforcing the Mahotsav’s message that spirituality is not separate from compassion in action.

A historic congregation and a living renaissance

Throughout the Mahotsav, pilgrims, saints, and sadhus from across India and abroad participated in holy dips, rituals, ancestral rites, cultural programmes, and spiritual discourses. An ancient tradition was revived on a historic scale after over 270 years, marking the start of a new era for the tradition in this part of Bharat. 

Sharing his reflections on this grand event, Brahmarishi Mohanji said, “The Mahamagham festival at Thirunavaya was a grand cultural and historic revival. A great union of various traditions. A cultural revival is the rejuvenation of a nation. 

Mohanji Foundation brought the living Aarti tradition from Varanasi to Thirunavaya, adding a special character to this festival. Likewise, Ammucare’s daily anna prasadam seva fed thousands, but touched the hearts of everyone at the festival.

The closing ceremony was joined by eminent saints, with sadhus being honoured and thanked for their esteemed presence, and with organisers expressing strong intent to continue building this sacred convergence in the years ahead.

A Metta Vipassana Meditation retreat in India, guided in the Dhamma sukha Tradition

Rooted in the early Buddhist discourses (the suttas), these retreats are inspired by the teaching approach developed by the late Bhante Vimalaramsi, founder, together with Ven. Veer Hanuman, the presiding deity at the Chinmaya Mission Ashram in Sector-37, Noida, has been a perennial source of inspiration and inner strength for thousands of devotees

Seventy-five years later, that flame continues to inspire individuals, families, and communities across India and beyond.

Across the country, the Chinmaya Mission is marking this historic milestone as Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav—a year-long commemoration of seven and a half decades of sustained work in value-based education, cultural awareness, spiritual inquiry, and selfless service. More than an anniversary, the occasion represents a moment of collective remembrance, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the Mission’s founding ideals.

At the heart of the Chinmaya Movement lies a simple yet enduring vision articulated by its founder, “To give maximum happiness to the maximum number for the maximum time.”

This vision has been pursued through the dissemination of Vedantic wisdom, with an emphasis on clarity of thought, strength of character, and responsible participation in society.

A Living Legacy, Rooted in Community
In Noida, this legacy has quietly taken shape for over three decades. Chinmaya Mission Noida, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, has evolved into an active centre for spiritual learning and community engagement. Through structured programmes for families, children, youth, and senior members—including Balvihars, youth forums, study groups, devotional gatherings, and cultural activities—the centre has played a consistent role in nurturing values-based living across generations.

As part of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Noida centre is bringing together the wider community for a landmark spiritual observance that reflects both tradition and contemporary relevance.

A Morning of Collective Prayer and Purpose
On 7 February 2026, from 8:30 a.m. onwards, the Football Ground at Noida Stadium will host a large-scale Sri Hanuman Hawan and Sri Hanuman Chalisa Pathotsav. More than 5,000 participants (including 2500+ school students) are expected to attend the programme, which has been conceived as a collective invocation for harmony and well-being.

The central intent of the gathering is threefold:

• To promote environmental sensitivity and healing

• To foster peace at a societal and global level

• To seek the welfare of families and citizens of India

Dr Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament from Gautam Budh Nagar, will attend the event as Chief Guest, reflecting the broader civic and social relevance of the occasion.

More Than a Ritual—A Shared Experience
A defining feature of the programme is its scale and inclusivity. Over 2,500 students from more than 20 schools across Noida and Greater Noida are expected to participate. The observance will also see participation from several spiritual and service organisations, including the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, The Divine Life Society, Baba Neem Karoli Ashram, Sri Ram Sharanam, along with other like-minded institutions. Invitations have been extended to nearby temples, devotional singing groups, and community associations across the region.

On that February morning in Noida, amidst collective prayer and shared intent, the Chinmaya story will continue to unfold—quietly, steadily, and through lives shaped by enduring values.

An Indian all-party parliamentary delegation currently visiting Russia has called for global unity in the fight against terrorism, while sharply criticising Pakistan for actively fostering extremist elements that threaten international peace and security.

The delegation, led by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Member of Parliament Ms Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, held a press briefing in Moscow where members voiced concerns over the global impact of terrorism emanating from Pakistan. They urged the international community, particularly long standing partners such as Russia, to stand in solidarity with India in its anti-terrorism efforts.

Addressing the press, Ms Kanimozhi remarked, “There is a lot of misinformation which has been spread about the attacks which happened. We want to clarify what the truth was and what actually happened. India wants to specifically give the message that India refuses to be blackmailed by the threat of nuclear weapons. We will fight for our integrity. We will stand as one against terror attacks. So this is the message we wanted to reach to the world, and of course we've worked with Russia for many years, and we would seek the understanding of Russia and we would hope that they will be in a position to be able to support us very strongly because I think they know beyond doubt that India stands for peace.”

Adding to the delegation’s remarks, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Ashok Kumar Mittal issued a stern condemnation of Pakistan’s role in abetting terrorism. “Whole world is suffering because of the terrorism being nurtured by Pakistan. India has also suffered very heavily… But India wants to be the ambassador of anti-terrorism drive of the world, because we know what terrorism is. We have suffered from all quarters, and we don't want other countries of the world to suffer. In India there is a saying, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which means the entire world is one family. We believe in that. We believe in peace.” he stated.

Dr. Mittal also cited the Indian civilisational value of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – ‘The world is one family’ - to emphasise India's commitment to global peace. “We believe in harmony and coexistence, and our call for a united stand against terror is in line with that philosophy,” he added.

The delegation comprises of leaders from multiple political parties, including Samajwadi Party MP Mr Rajeev Rai, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Prem Chand Gupta, AAP MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, and former Indian Ambassador Mr Manjeev Singh Puri. 

The visit to Russia is part of a broader international outreach spanning several countries, including Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain. This multi-nation tour seeks to highlight India’s counter-terrorism stance, particularly in the context of recent initiatives such as Operation Sindoor, which underscores India's resolve in eliminating terror threats and ensuring global security.

A 20-Year Wait Ends with 144 years of Celestial Alignment

The journey of these deities began nearly two decades ago when HG Arun Prabhu approached HH Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaj to install Sita Ram deities. His Holiness personally customized the deities by instructing the actual height of deities. They arrived at Houston, only to remain in storage box, awaiting their destined home. When the New Navadvip project was initiated, the team discovered that the location shared the same latitude band (with in 26 and 27 degree) as Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. This realization ignited a strong desire among the devotees to bring Lord Ram to this sacred site.

What happened next was nothing short of miraculous—without knowing of the devotees’ wishes, HG Vatsal prabhu, a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada mentioned about the deities to New Navadvip Dham team in later 2024 however team completely forgot about it. On 31st Dec 2024, HG Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu and his wife Sadhvi Radharani visited Houston temple on the way to Cruise to Mexico. At temple, he was approached by priest to ask temple authority to give Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman ji to New Navadvip Dham. On 1st Jan 2025, they had darshan of deities who were staying in garage on one humble devotee. After few discussions with temple president HG Saranga Thakur Prabhu and HG Shyam Sundar Prabhu both blessed to take the deities to New Navadvip Dham. It seemed as if Lord Ram had been waiting for this very moment for nearly 20 years.

A Test of Faith in Houston

On the auspicious day of Vasant Pañcamī (February 2, 2025), Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu with his wife Sadhvi Radharani traveled to Houston to bring the deities home. A departure ceremony was held, with temple leaders and devotees joyfully sending off Lord Ram and His divine entourage to their new home.  

However, an unexpected challenge arose when Arun Prabhu, a devotee from Houston working on establishing a Lord Ram temple, learned about the transfer. Confused and distressed, he expressed his disappointment, believing the deities had been promised to his project. This led to a discussion between Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu, the temple president, and senior devotee HG Shyam Sundar Prabhu.

Faced with uncertainty, Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu sought divine guidance from Lord Jagannath and consulted Vatsal Prabhu. The decision became clear—Lord Ram’s will was to go to New Navadvip Dham.

Unmistakable Signs from Lord Ram

Despite the decision, doubts still lingered in Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu’s heart about deities desires. As he embarked on the journey back with the deities, he encountered a series of undeniable divine signs:

• The SUV he originally planned to use was too small, so he was offered a larger vehicle—which happened to be a Dodge RAM! A clear signal from Lord Ram Himself.

• As he was sharing the above lila with Madhava Vrajanatha Prabhu over a phone call, they stopped at a random gas station in the middle of nowhere while the call was still on. As he entered, he was greeted by a song playing in the background:“Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna. Now, I really want to see you (Hare Rama), really want to be with you (Hare Rama), really want to see you, Lord.”

The song, sung by George Harrison of The Beatles, a devotee of Srila Prabhupada, was an unmistakable affirmation from Lord Ram.

With his doubts completely dissolved, Sarvajaya Madhava Prabhu and his wife with joy continued the sacred journey with full confidence, knowing that everything was unfolding according to Lord Ram’s divine plan.

Arrival at New Navadvip Dham and Arun Prabhu Message

As the deities arrived at New Navadvip Dham, Saranga Thakur Prabhu shared the below text message sent by Arun Prabhu, reflecting his humble acceptance of Lord Ram’s will: “Hare Krishna, Jai Shri Ram! Hari Bol! Ram Ji has His own Will. If He wants to go, that is fine. We’d like to go for His inauguration and have Darshan.”

His words resonated deeply, reminding everyone that the Lord is not bound by human plans—He chooses where He wants to reside. Thank you to Arun Prabhu for opening his heart, showing how wonderful devotee, he is. Lord has engaged Arun Prabhu twenty years ago for this day.

A Divine Parallel to Srila Prabhupada’s Pastime

In a beautiful parallel, devotees later recalled how Srila Prabhupada faced a similar situation while establishing Radha-Londonishvara in the London temple. Just as Lord Ram orchestrated His move to New Navadvip Dham, Radha-Londonishvara’s had a similar pastime too.

The Legacy of Lord Ram’s Arrival

The arrival of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman ji at New Navadvip Dham is more than just a historic event—it is a testament to the unfolding of divine Will. Millions of devotees will now have the opportunity to receive the blessings of Lord Ram, fulfilling a destiny that had been in motion for two decades. This happened once in our lifetime during the 144-year celestial alignment of the Mahakumbh on the auspicious Shahi Snana day of Vasant Panchami.

Cleantec Trash Skimmer

A key initiative was the unification of the Ganga’s three separate streams into a single flow through a 2.5-kilometre-long dredging project. Using 83 high-capacity dredgers operating 24/7 for 20 days, this first-of-its-kind effort reclaimed 22 hectares of land, expanding the Mela premises and improving accessibility. Over six lakh cubic meters of sand and sediment were removed, enhancing water flow and optimizing land use.

Anil Garg, Principal Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, called it an unparalleled achievement. He had said that reclaiming land equivalent to 1,000 tennis courts and expanding the Sangam area to accommodate two lakh pilgrims at a time is a historic feat.

Gaurav Chopra, Managing Director and Co-founder of Cleantec Infra, emphasised the scale of the effort. “Completing this project within just two months was a challenge, but we are proud to have supported the UP Government in achieving it,” he said. The project deployed three high-capacity dredging machines, working relentlessly to remove vast amounts of sediment.”

Ensuring cleanliness in the Ganga was another major priority. Advanced trash skimming technology, deployed under the Swachh Bharat Mission, collected 10-15 tonnes of floating waste daily, peaking at 20-25 tonnes on special occasions, leading to the record collection of 600 tons of waste.

“Keeping the Ganga clean during an event of this magnitude required precision-driven execution,” said Chopra. “Our skimmers worked round the clock to remove floating waste in real time before it could accumulate, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of clean water. The collected waste was then responsibly processed, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.”

Chopra further stressed that large-scale events should not compromise environmental responsibility. “We have set a precedent that sustainable waste management is possible even for massive gatherings. Mechanised cleaning solutions should not be limited to special events but must become an ongoing effort for water body management across India.”

Maha Kumbh 2025 stands as a historic example of how engineering, technology, and environmental consciousness can work together to manage large-scale events while preserving natural resources. These interventions have set a new benchmark in sustainable event management, offering a scalable model for future global gatherings.

The Yagya has drawn a large gathering of saints and spiritual leaders, with Ghazal Samrat Anup Jalota gracing the event with his presence. In alignment with this vision, the Nyas recently completed a Yatra to 108 Shiva temples across Bihar, reaffirming the state's rich Sanatan Dharma heritage. As part of this journey, prayers and rituals were performed at ancient Shiva temples, honouring Bihar as a sacred land deeply intertwined with Sanatan Dharma’s origins and traditions.

In the year 2017, Dr. Sailesh Lachu Hiranandani founded Pancham Dham after two decades of research, dedicated to preserving Sanatana Dharma. With the support of RSS veteran Indresh Kumar, they have tirelessly worked to spread its teachings worldwide, fostering harmony and unity. The first batch of pilgrims which took an aerial tour to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat on Monday

Previously, reaching these holy sites involved a challenging journey - either a long trek or a combination of car travel and walking, confined to a limited window between May and June or September and October. Today, 18 pilgrims embarked on the inaugural helicopter flight, signifying a new era of accessibility championed by Trip to Temples.

Nestled in the majestic Vyas Valley lies Adi Kailash, revered as the second abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Bordering India, Nepal and Tibet, Om Parvat is a natural wonder sculpted into a perfect "Om" symbol. Visible only from the Indian side, the closest vantage point was previously Nabhidang, 11 km from the Old Lipu Lekh Pass, demanding a daunting trek.

Silver Baskets to carry Flowers for Shri Kasi Vishwanath Temple

On February 11, 2024, two silver baskets, each weighing 6.070 kilograms and 6.091 kilograms, were presented to the Shri Kasi Nattukottai Nagarathars Chatiram managing society in Varanasi. These baskets are intended to carry around 12 kilograms of flowers daily for each Aarthi at the temple. 

The first basket is being jointly contributed by the Pallathur S.M.VR.Muthu family and the Karaikudi S. Rm. K. Krishnappan Ramanathan family. 

The second basket is being jointly contributed by the Kanadukathan N. Ramanathan chettiar family, Palavagudi Ar. P. M.Pl. M Murugappan, M. Valliappan & M Barath family, and Kanadukathan AL. K. Ct. M. CT. Muthiah chettiar family & M. Alagu Chidambaram chettiar Family.

Expressing boundless joy about being offered this sacred project, Alagu Chidambaram from Purnimaa Silver Wares in Chennai stated, "It stands out as one of our most significant endeavors to date. When the committee approached us to craft these two baskets for Shri Kasi Vishwanath, we embraced the order without hesitation, viewing it as a divine directive. Chennai based Smart Creations installs the first gold plated Kalasam at Amawa Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Designed with Nano Tech Golden Deposition (NTGD) technology and handcrafted by a 72-year-old artisan, Allaudin, in a duration of 45 days, the 13- ½ feet tall gold-plated Copper Kalasam, weighing a total of 120 kilograms, including 400 grams of gold deposit, adorns the Shikara of Amawa Ram Mandir, located about 500 meters away from the Ram Lalla Mandir, Ram Janma Bhoomi. This is considered to be the first gold plated Kalasam that has been installed in Ayodhya, with a 30-year warranty. The NTGD technology, is the same as used in NASA / ISRO defence applications and equipment, including the recent Chandrayaan 3, India’s lander & rover mission to the moon.

Historically significant, Amawa Ram Mandir is situated at the same place where the temple of the Raghu dynasty is, wherein Emperors of the Raghu clan including Lord Ram worshipped their deities. The temple was renovated and extended by Acharya Dr Kishore Kunal, a former IPS officer, Vice Chancellor of K.S.D. Sanskrit University, ex-Chairman of Bihar State Board of Hindu Religious Trusts and he as the present trustee of the Ram Mandir approached Smart Creations for crafting of the golden Kalasam.

Notably, this yatra spans two countries, Thailand and the sacred land of Dham Bhoomi Cambodia.

Embarking on this sacred journey to Cambodia, the yatra will commence with the divine sight of the Sahastra Shivalinga of Lord Shiva, unearthed in 2008 through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Hiranandani. Shri Indresh Kumar sanctified the Dham at this location, marking the foundation stone ceremony for the construction of the Shiva temple situated beyond the globally protected area. It is noteworthy that Angkor Wat, the largest temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in Siem Reap, Cambodia, stands as the eighth wonder among the marvels of the world.

During the Yatra, a program of Shri Ram Darshan has also been organized in the temple built in Ayutthaya the former capital of Thailand. According to the sources, this temple is still closed but the Government of Bharat may start constant diplomatic conversations to open this temple in the favour of both countries. With the opening of the temple, devotees will be able to have a darshan of Shri Ram which will also boost tourism in Thailand.

On the banks of the Mekong River in the hills of Kulain, there are a thousand Shivalingas of Lord Shiva, which remained unknown for centuries. This kingdom of Cambodia city Siem Reap is a city of temples where 117 Hindu temples are dilapidated. Dr. Hiranandani has appealed to all the Indians living across the globe for the restoration of these temples and has organized a seminar in London at the onset of the month of Sawan, May 22nd July.

In this seventh journey of Pancham Dham, a seminar will be organized in Thailand and Cambodia on the subject of “Cultural Heritage of Buddha”. During the trip, there are several scheduled temple visits and talks with monks in Buddhist monasteries. The purpose of the trip will be to reawaken the cultural and spiritual themes of Southeast Asia and India. Hindu representatives from all over Asia will participate in the Yatra.

This year's journey will also be memorable as Pancham Dham in association with Dharma Sanskriti Sangam is going to establish a temple in Gaya to awaken religious and cultural beliefs, which will be the first temple in the world in which the assembled idols of Tathagat Mahatma Buddha and Lord Vishnu will be consecrated. This will be the first consecration of Mahatma Buddha in a Hindu temple in India. Apart from this, the Nyas is engaged in the construction and reconstruction of temples under the Vishwa Kalyan tradition in many cities of Bharat. Nyas representatives are going to Sri Lanka to participate in Sri Lanka Independence Day on 4th Feb. The journey began with the first program scheduled in Saharsa, Bihar, on January 15 with the 'Pancham Dham Mahayagya'. Bapu is highest donor for Ram Temple in Ayodhya with a contribution of Rs 18.6 crore

In a statement, Morari Bapu said, "We had already handed Rs 11.3 crore immediately, within 15 days of collection, to the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. The remaining amount that was collected from foreign countries has been given the required clearance certificate now and will be given to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Trust when I do Katha in February this year. So, the total donation is to the tune of Rs 18.6 crore."

Morari Bapu to do Ram Katha in Ayodhya from February 24 - March 03 this year

Bapu revealed that Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra had come to meet him in Barsana during a Ram Katha there in October of 2023. "Shri Champat Rai ji invited me to the opening ceremony of Ram temple and Pran Pratishtha of the idol on January 22, 2024. He also invited me to do a Katha at Ayodhya from February 24 of this year till March 03 after Ram Lalla's consecration."

The Vedas, Valmiki Ramayana, and Goswami Tulsidas' Ram Charita Manas should be placed in Ayodhya’s new temple

Morari Bapu has expressed his desire to have three sacred texts installed in the new Ram Temple - the Vedas, the Valmiki Ramayana, and Goswami Tulsidas' Ram Charita Manas. “Not that I have been asked, but I feel Veda Bhagwan, Valmiki ji’s Ramayana and Ram Charita Manas of Goswami Tulsidas should be placed in the Ram temple in Ayodhya,” he stated.

Having dedicated over 64 years to narrating Ram Katha, taking Ram Naam, and doing Ram Kaam, Bapu said, "My heart is full of bliss as the Ram Temple is set to be inaugurated, and I am brimming with joy. These days, blood is not circulating in the arteries of my heart. My heart is pulsating with joy!"

Morari Bapu, renowned for his enduring call for a peaceful resolution to the Ayodhya dispute and his unwavering belief in the eventual construction of a Ram temple, has repeatedly earlier stated, "Lord Ram does not belong to any one sect or a country. He belongs to the whole world."

It was during his Ram Katha in Ayodhya in 2018 that Morari Bapu had stated that “Swikaar and Samvaad ki Neev par Ram Mandir banaya jaye (Let us construct the Ram Temple on the foundation of Acceptance and Dialogue). We need to keep these two bricks in the foundation.”

A Life Devoted to Ram

Morari Bapu's spiritual odyssey commenced at the age of 14, reciting Ram Katha under a Banyan tree in Talgajarda. Over the years, he expanded his reach, conducting Kathas globally, including the first overseas Katha in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1976. Recently, he completed a tour, performing Ram Katha in all 12 Jyotirlingas, traveling by train for 18 days.

With a global reach spanning 64 years, Morari Bapu has conducted 930 Ram Kathas (791 in India and 139 abroad), celebrating the birth of Ram Lalla 930 times. Each Katha, focusing on a chosen Chaupai over nine days, carries a central message of 'Truth, Love, and Compassion.'

Non-Commercial Approach and Philanthropy

Morari Bapu adopts a non-commercial approach to his Kathas. He does not take even one penny or any sort of Dakshina for doing Ram Katha. In addition, all Kathas are accompanied by free vegetarian meals.

His philanthropy extends to various social causes, reaching marginalized communities, and contributing to environmental preservation. The Jain community also boasts of a gem, Vishwa Vora, a 21-year-old youth from Ahmedabad, who, after studying scriptures like Muhurta Martand, Muhurta Chintamani, Vrihad Daivajna, and Brihad Parashara, Hora Shastra, provided a precise auspicious moment of 88 seconds for the ground breaking ceremony. This achievement is based on fundamental scriptures, helping in determining the most auspicious time.

Shri Mumbai Jain Sangh organization, representing around 1,150 associations and approximately 2.5 million Jains in the city, have organized various events to celebrate this historic occasion. On the 22nd of this month, every Jain household will light lamps, create rangoli, and decorate shops and offices with torans . Special foods, including lapsi, and distribution of sweets will also be part of the celebration. The senior citizens from the organization will participate in a procession from Nariman Point to Marine Lines in Mumbai spreading the joy of Lord Rama's consecration.

During the event, Indresh Kumar expressed that understanding the language of the voiceless is akin to understanding God - He is in those who hear the unspoken. Following the book release, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan remarked that man, being inherently ambitious, tends to become immoral in pursuit of his desires. The spectacularly choreographed light and sound show was held at 95 Pally Entrance, Jodhpur Park, from 6 PM to 12 AM, between October 21st, Saptami and October 24th, Dashami, 2023. As the idol formed, visitors to the pandal could hear the sounds of the mesmerising dhaak, echoing chants of mantra, with the fog machine adding the feel of dhunuchi which added depths to the glow of Maa Durga, capturing the very essence of the Pujo. There were 6 shows every hour, with each show lasting 5 minutes.

Kolkata Tram Festive Makeover

Kolkata's iconic tram, dating back to 1873, is a symbol of the city's history and charm. To celebrate this milestone, Asian Paints has given the tram from Tollygunge to Ballygunge a remarkable makeover coinciding with Kolkata's most important month of celebration. The tram on the Tollygunge route covers all the famous areas known to have historic and significant Pujo pandals, making it the ideal choice for this transformation.

 

Two bogies of the tram have been beautified by Asian Paints. The exteriors of the first bogie capture the extraordinary 38-year journey of Asian Paints Sharad Shamman (APSS) in Kolkata. It features hand-painted artworks honouring Kumartuli - the traditional potters' quarter in North Kolkata where Durga idols are sculpted. It also encapsulates Sindoor khela and Dhunuchi dance. The exterior artwork showcases the first print advertisement and the first winning pandal. The bogie also highlights the unique stories featured in 'People of Pujo' - a documentary series capturing the lives and passions of those who make Pujo the celebration what it is! On the tram we see a visually impaired artist who has commendable skills and women dhakis who challenge the masculine stronghold of the performing arts.

Morari Bapu on Kailash Bharat Gaurav train

The journey was successfully covered with 1008 devotees listening to Ram Katha and doing darshan of the Jyotirlingas in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand; Vishwanath, Kashi; Baidyanath, Jharkhand; Mallikarjun, Andhra Pradesh; Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu; Nageshwar, Bhimashankar, Trayambakeshwar and Ghrishneshwar, Maharashtra; Omkareshwar and Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and finally reaching Somnath. The devotees also experienced the darshan of the holy dhams of Rishikesh, Jagannath Puri, Tirupati Balaji and Dwarkadhish Dham.

Talking about the aim of the yatra, Bapu said the pilgrimage was “nirhetu” that is without any ulterior motive but that it will surely help to rejuvenate the centres of piety and devotion of Santan Dharma including the jyotirlingas, dhams, and all other Hindu places of worship. Bapu emphasized that while all temples were already pure, they also need to be kept clean and better organized so that even most common man can easily access them and obtain darshan to find inner peace and connection with divinity.

Bapu said that the efforts of the government to promote Swachh Bharat and build grand corridors in Kashi and Ujjain, should be treated as prototypes to renovate other major pilgrim sites. Bapu, through this Katha, also celebrated the idea of “Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat” and drew attention to cultural diversity our Bharat promotes amidst the ongoing celebrations of Amrit Kal.

While many saints feel that self-realization is the ultimate aim of human life, Bapu feels that a Sadhu must reach out to the last man and attempt to light his inner lamp. In many ways, the Jyotirlinga Ram Katha was an attempt of outreach, to connect with people in the four corners of the country of north, south, east and west and bring to them spiritual exhilaration. On the last day of the Katha, Bapu emphasized that the 12Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra was an initiative to bring about cultural unity and national integration.

With the aim to spread the teachings and rationale of Sanatan Dharma across devotees across the country, the Ram Katha yatra was focused on sowing the seeds of peace and harmony, and united the communities across the country in celebration of the rich history and ancient knowledge embedded in the very essence of our Bharatvarsha.

Rejuvenating the Sanatan Dharma and in an effort to provide the teachings of Ramcharitmanas in relevance to the modern society, Bapu talked about the importance of building an ideal utopian society upholding the value of cleanliness, equality, harmony, unity and co-existence with peace. The Katha was organized to bring the ancient knowledge of our scriptures to the devotees across the country, instilling in them a pride for our culture, religion and diversity of our country. With utmost dedication, the devotees travelled across 12,000 km in just 18 days with festivities onboarding the train of spirituality, filling the atmosphere with hymns, mantras, chants and religious rituals.

With the successful completion of 12 Jyotirlinga Ram Katha, the legacy of Morari Bapu remains enriched. At the end of the journey, Bapu openly proclaimed that though this was his 900^th religious discourse, the ending today was just a pause in an ongoing journey which is set to restart in a few days at Cambridge University. Bapu has already completed many historical milestones like conducting Katha in air while circumambulating the Earth, in the ship, on Kailash, at Bhusundi Sarovar etc.

This momentous 12 Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Rail Yatra was facilitated by two special trains - Kailash Bharat Gaurav and Chitrakoot Bharat Gaurav Trains - with IRCTC’s support. The Katha was organized by Bapu's flower (devotee) Rupesh Vyas from Indore through Aadesh Charitable Trust.

The devotees will hear enlightening discourses on Ram Katha from Bapu at the 12 holy Jyotirlinga Temples. With this initiative, Bapu is on his quest to map the tapestry of this rich country, promote the rich cultural heritage by reminiscing the past glory, and is undertaking this yatra to embody the essence of Sanatana Dharma and celebrate the glory of Lord Rama’s name.

The yatra is being facilitated by two special trains namely Kailash Bharat Gaurav and Chitrakoot Bharat Gaurav accommodating over 1008 devotees. The exteriors of the trains have been embellished with rich vinyl wraps, showcasing the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples, Major Dhams of Sanatana Dharma, Tirupati Balaji Temple and scenes from Bapu’s village. Along with the Jyotirlinga, the devotees will get to experience other sites of spiritual importance, which will further enhance their experience. 

The Katha is being organized by Bapu's flower (devotee) Rupesh Vyas from Indore through the Aadesh Trust. He has been working tirelessly with IRCTC to make this Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra a success.

As the country celebrates Amrit Kal, this Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra will enhance the understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage and symbolize the spirituality which is the essence of our “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.

Pujya Morari Bapu, the renowned spiritual guru and exponent of the Ramayana, is all set to embark on an extraordinary spiritual journey during the auspicious month of Saavan. From 22nd July 2023 to 08th August 2023, Morari Bapu will captivate devotees with his enlightening discourses on the Ram Katha at the revered 12 Jyotirlinga temples. He will also visit 3 sacred Dhams and the Tirupati Balaji temple during the travel. This profound journey, spanning about 12,000 kilometres across 8 states, will bring out the quintessential essence of Sanatana Dharma, the glory of Lord Ram's name along with it being a journey that unites India and strengthens its traditions.

The first Katha will be held on July 22 in the sacred Kedarnath at an altitude of nearly 12,000 feet. The Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Train Yatra will commence from the holy city of Rishikesh on 23rd July 2023. Morari Bapu, who has been narrating Ram Katha for over 60 years, will embark on a spiritual odyssey, spreading the teachings of Lord Ram for an uninterrupted 18 days. The yatra will culminate on 08th August 2023 at Bapu's village, Talgajarda, in Gujarat. In the realm of Ram Katha, Pujya Morari Bapu's discourses are deeply rooted in the teachings of Ram Charita Manas.

To facilitate this extraordinary journey, two special trains named Kailash Bharat Gaurav and Chitrakoot Bharat Gaurav have been arranged. A total of 1008 devotees will be aboard these specially designed trains. The exteriors of the train coaches are adorned with vibrant vinyl wraps showcasing the 12 Jyotirlinga temples, the major Dhams of Sanatana Dharma, the Tirupati Balaji temple, and scenes from Bapu's village.

Ram Charita Manas not only depicts the outer journey of Lord Ram but also delves into the inner journey of the soul. Ram Katha on all days will be open for all, allowing individuals to join directly at any place along the journey. This inclusive approach fosters a sense of unity and offers an opportunity for people from all walks of life to participate in this spiritually transformative experience. All devotees will also be served three meals as prasad by the organiser. In the auspicious month of Saavan, the pilgrimage to all the Jyotirlingas will be a remarkable achievement for all attendees, amplifying the spiritual significance of the journey.
