“The purpose of aviation itself is to make air travel more people-oriented. One of the major concerns for passengers has always been the airfare. During peak seasons, they often have to pay higher prices, and when booking at short notice, they bear the impact of volatility. And if the state comes forward to address this concern, it is undoubtedly a positive step, “,said Jaideep Mirchandani, group chairman of Sky One.

According to the official statement, Alliance Air will introduce a single fixed fare that remains unchanged, regardless of the booking date, even on the day of departure. This pilot initiative will be in effect from October 13 to December 31, 2025. Although it will initially apply only to selected routes, further decisions will be taken after assessing its operational feasibility and passenger response. The key question however is just who stands to benefit the most from this move?

“I think passengers who travel frequently between Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will benefit the most. Alliance Air generally operates on short and medium routes under the UDAN scheme. Its fleet mainly consists of ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft, which are suitable for smaller airports and can carry up to 72 passengers. The airline also operates a few ATR 42-600 aircraft with a capacity of 48 passengers and one Indian-made Dornier 228 aircraft that can accommodate 17 passengers. Naturally, this approach will make air travel more people-friendly,” added Mr Mirchandani.

The aviation expert says that measures related to fares and amenities, which may seem insignificant to high-net-worth individuals, hold great value for the common traveller. Without assigning blame, he points out that initiatives such as UDAN Yatri Cafes, offering tea for Rs 10, coffee for Rs 20, and snacks for Rs 20 at airports, can make a real difference to regular passengers.

“Gone are the days when air travel was seen as a privilege of the elite. It should be accessible to more people, ensuring dignity and affordability. We are now addressing one of the biggest concerns of passengers: airfare. I am curious to see how this move will impact private airlines in the country after the pilot phase. It will be interesting to observe how they adapt and incorporate similar measures within their domestic realms,” concluded Mr Mirchandani.

“Not only will it serve Pune, Mumbai, and the busy Konkan corridor, but the new airport will also provide access to global destinations and markets, enhancing passenger experiences and trade. Further, it is expected to handle over 3.2 million metric tonnes of cargo annually, helping India strengthen its footprint in the sector,” says Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman of Sky One.
 
Discussing the multi-modal connectivity offered by the new airport, he added, “It will be connected with various transport systems, including the expressway network, metro rail, suburban rail, and waterway services. Such multi-modal connectivity is essential to make the airport a major aviation hub."

Built for Rs 19,650 crore, the new airport is expected to create 200,000 jobs across various sectors, including logistics, IT, and hospitality. It will also be India’s first fully digital airport, offering facilities for pre-booked parking spaces, baggage handling, and immigration services. Meanwhile, the terminal, designed by London’s Zaha Hadid Architects, is shaped like a lotus flower. The airport will also feature art that highlights Maharashtra’s heritage and culture.

4. Aircraft Operations (OPS)
5. Airworthiness of Aircraft (AIR)
6. Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation (AIG)
7. Air Navigation Services (ANS)
8. Aerodromes and Ground Aids (AGA)
 

The preliminary results, covering only the areas under CAAT's direct responsibility -namely legislation, civil aviation organization, aircraft operations, airworthiness, personnel licensing, air navigation services, and aerodromes – showed a preliminary score as high as 91.35%, nearly 20% above the global average of 70.50%. ICAO will be sending a draft report to be reviewed within 90 days after the audit is completed, and the official scores are expected to be announced on ICAO's website around February 2026.

Thailand achieved a perfect score of 100% in two areas - Aviation Legislation (LEG) and Civil Aviation Organization (ORG) -exceeding the global average by 20–30%. This is ample evidence that Thailand currently has a modern and comprehensive aviation legal framework aligned with international standards, along with a strong, well-structured civil aviation authority on par with the world's leading aviation nations. It also demonstrates how far Thailand has come since being placed under the ICAO "Red Flag" in 2015, underscoring the country's progress towards becoming a globally recognized aviation hub.

Thailand's Aviation Safety Development Path

• January 2015: Thailand (then under the Department of Civil Aviation) underwent an audit that identified 33 Significant Safety Concerns (SSC). As a result, ICAO issued a "Red Flag," with Thailand's Effective Implementation (EI) score at 33.53%.

• September 2017: CAAT (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand) resolved all deficiencies, leading ICAO to remove the Red Flag; the EI score rose to 41.11%.

• May 2019: All remaining deficiencies were addressed (except in AIG, due to ICAO's shortage of AIG experts). The EI score increased to 65.83%.

• September 2021: ICAO conducted an Offsite Validation focusing solely on AIG, with the EI score recorded at 66.08%.

• January 2022: ICAO updated its audit protocol from the PQ2017 Edition to PQ2020 for the USOAP-CMA, affecting the Effective Implementation (EI) scores of all states. Thailand's EI score was adjusted to 61.60%.

• July 2025: ICAO introduced the new PQ2024 Edition, the latest set of criteria for USOAP-CMA audits.

Preliminary Results

• Current Score (before the audit): 61.60%

• Preliminary Score: 87.71%

• Preliminary Score (for areas under CAAT's direct oversight - legislation, civil aviation organization, aircraft operations, airworthiness, personnel licensing, air navigation services, and aerodromes): 91.35%

• Global Average: 70.50%

CAAT devoted the full expertise of its personnel to prepare for this USOAP CMA audit, the largest in the past decade since 2015. Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of CAAT explained CAAT's approach to the ICAO assessment that "ICAO provides Thailand with a checklist, questions, and guidance - the same procedure applied worldwide. Each CAAT division responsible for its respective area must work with its own team, covering legislation, operational procedures, and inspections of operators to ensure compliance with CAAT standards, thereby demonstrating the Authority's oversight capability. Afterwards, ICAO reviews what CAAT has documented, such as regulations and operating procedures, to verify whether CAAT officials enforce them correctly, including applying penalties when operators or licensed personnel violate rules or laws. All these elements contribute to the high scores awarded by ICAO. This process reflects a comprehensive and transparent implementation of aviation law in line with international standards."

CAAT will perpetually enhance and uphold the standards through ongoing development. Significantly, this achievement was not accomplished by CAAT solitarily but through the collaboration of all stakeholders - including Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd., Airports of Thailand Plc., the Department of Airports, the Civil Aviation Training Center, airlines, and all relevant partner agencies. Their collective efforts drove this mission to success, giving confidence that Thailand will continue to advance steadily towards becoming a safe and reliable aviation hub for the region and the world.

"Normally, ICAO conducts audit programs for its 193 member states, with around 12–20 countries assessed each year. Given Thailand's high score in this audit, it is expected that, in terms of managing safety risks among member states, there will likely be a considerable interval before Thailand is reviewed again. Over the past decade, Thailand has been among the countries most frequently audited by ICAO. In addition, the checklist used by CAAT for this assessment was the latest 2024 version, which is more efficient. From now on, ICAO will be using this checklist to evaluate all member states before the cycle returns to Thailand," Air Chief Marshal Manat concluded.

Even as AI continues to gain widespread acceptance in aviation systems worldwide, the industry is also rapidly progressing towards agentic AI. While traditional AI tools mainly offer recommendations based on historical data and signals, agentic AI takes a more proactive role by not only making decisions but also executing them and monitoring outcomes in real time.

Airports like Singapore's Changi Airport are exemplifying this shift, and exploring agentic AI to boost operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and reduce the need for human intervention. In India, the first AI-powered airport digital twin was recently launched at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. It includes features like intelligent crowd management, flow and queue analytics, real-time operational insights, and optimised backend operations such as smart traffic monitoring.

“The adoption of agentic AI has helped in achieving new standards of customer experience, operational efficiency and making airlines more competitive. Those who adopt them faster will have a competitive edge. With the ability to monitor live feeds from terminals, baggage scanners, and access points, agentic tools can detect unusual patterns and anomalies before incidents escalate. “These tools are capable of reading human behaviours by tracking signs such as excessive nervousness and erratic motion, providing an added intelligence layer and flagging potential threats that traditional security systems may overlook. AI agents predict passenger flows, queue congestion, and screening volume, allocating security personnel, adjusting checkpoint openings, and reallocating staff in real time for smoother operations,” adds Mr. Mirchandani.

The AI vision agents can monitor CCTV, detect threats, and alert security teams. They will also support predictive maintenance of aircraft, contributing to safety. However, even as AI agents gain wide acceptance, human supervision remains essential.

“Even if every segment is fully automated, we cannot ignore the necessity of human touch. An AI agent cannot replace human perceptiveness, especially in areas requiring critical decision-making. Both AI agents and human resources, however, will co-exist, complementing each other. While AI tools can assist in various ways, the final resolution may come from humans, offering decisive input and support,” concludes Mr. Mirchandani.

The new integrated audit, meanwhile, will be led by a multi-disciplinary team from various departments of the DGCA. As per the plan, specialists in flight standards, airworthiness, navigation, licensing, operations, and air safety will collaborate on joint audits alongside DGCA officials. The special audits will apply to all scheduled, non-scheduled, and private air operators, as well as Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organisations, approved training organisations, aerodrome operators, and ground handling agencies.
 

“It is indeed a good move to launch a comprehensive 360-degree audit system that will help in detecting risks that may be hidden between regulatory faultlines. The new rule will also help in bringing in external industry experts, if required, and provide clearer operational insights. There will also be surprise audits overseen by the Joint Director General, as per the circular, which will help in clearly assessing the safety management systems and internal frameworks designed by airlines. It will also help in identifying operational risks before they escalate into disasters,” says Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman of Sky One.
 

He also notes that the new decision is timely, given the unprecedented growth India is experiencing in aviation. “We know that Indian carriers have already placed massive orders for new aircraft, and hence the staffing, as well as other related aspects, requires more procedural depth. With the kind of expansion they are planning, the previous system of isolated inspections will not work. It requires a larger-scale mechanism like the 360-degree inspection, which will also help bring India's inspection regimen on par with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommendations,” adds Mr Mirchandani.
 

However, Mr Mirchandani says it is essential for the regulatory body to ensure that the new framework is implemented strictly. “Execution is the key here. There should be constant follow-ups from policymakers to ensure that all inspections are conducted regularly. As we know, the Indian skies are becoming increasingly crowded, with more flights expected to be introduced on domestic and international routes. So, it is an opportunity to build operational excellence, with DGCA-led clarity and accountability pushing all stakeholders toward best-in-class standards,” he concludes.

Emirates, recently named a global leader in aviation by Forbes Travel Guide 2025, is the largest airline in the Middle East with over 4,100 flights each week from Dubai International Airport to more than 140 cities across 80 countries.
 

The new direct route to Da Nang is a gateway for billionaires from one of the wealthiest regions on earth to access Vietnam’s central coast, carrying immense spending power. It also facilitates the arrival of high-end travellers from Europe and the Americas, as Dubai ranks among the world’s busiest international transit hubs.
 

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, as of April 2025, over 13,000 visitors from Middle Eastern countries had arrived in the city. This figure represents 0.73 percent of total international visitors, with most travellers coming from Iran, Israel and Turkey. With the new Emirates route now in operation, this number is expected to rise sharply, potentially adding trillions of Vietnamese dong in tourism revenue to the local economy. 
 

In recent years, Da Nang has made notable progress in diversifying into new high-potential markets. With a keen focus on growth, the city is extending its tourism outreach to areas including the Middle East and Central Asia. Charter flights to Da Nang have already launched from several cities, including Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan, with seven airlines offering 10 weekly flights from April to October 2025. An analysis by McKinsey & Company suggests that aircraft retirement rates between 2024 and 2026 will be about 24% lower than in the pre-pandemic years of 2010 to 2019. This extension in aircraft use will likely require more maintenance work, especially on engines and airframes than would have been necessary in a balanced supply-demand environment.

As airlines strive for efficiency by relying more on existing aircraft, the demand for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector will increase.

“Delayed retirements will pressure the system, pushing the MRO sector to adopt new strategies. Older aircraft will need more attention, which could drive the adoption of predictive maintenance and cost-effective practices to maintain operational efficiency,” says Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman of global aviation company Sky One.

Explaining predictive maintenance, he says, "It relies on sensors, data analytics, and machine learning to anticipate maintenance needs before equipment fails. These systems collect data from aircraft systems, components, and structures and analyse them to detect early signs of wear or malfunction. Maintenance schedules can then be adjusted in real-time based on how the aircraft is used, reducing downtime and cost.”

He says predictive maintenance prevents unexpected failures and improves safety, reliability, and fleet availability. He adds that augmented Reality (AR) further enhances this process by giving technicians real-time data, guided instructions, and remote expert support. This leads to faster, more accurate maintenance and improves safety checks and repair quality. AR also helps streamline complex procedures by connecting technicians with experts instantly.

MRO providers are also turning to drones, robotics, and vision systems to speed up inspections and make them more precise. At the same time, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is being used to handle repetitive backend tasks, reducing manual workload and improving efficiency. In addition, more providers are investing in intelligent enterprise software that helps manage contract planning, maintenance execution, reporting, and invoicing. These systems offer greater accuracy, consistency, and scalability.

The industry expects that by 2028, aircraft retirements will return to normal, supply chains will stabilise, and new aircraft deliveries will accelerate. “By then, the MRO sector is also likely to have transitioned to smarter, more efficient solutions,” concludes Mr Mirchandani.

Even in today’s tech-driven era, with ongoing advances in autonomous flight research, pilots remain at the heart of flight operations and are irreplaceable. With the aviation sector expanding rapidly, the global demand for trained pilots continues to rise. According to Boeing’s ‘Pilot and Technician Outlook 2024–2043,’ 6,74,000 new pilots will be needed over the next 20 years to operate and maintain the global commercial fleet.

The report highlights strong demand in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in countries like India, where civil aviation is growing steadily. Recently, Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu noted that India will require around 30,000 pilots over the next 15 to 20 years, considering the scale of aircraft orders placed by Indian airlines.

Official data shows that the country currently has about 6,000 to 7,000 active pilots, a number that must rise substantially to meet future needs. The government is introducing several measures to address this, and according to Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman of Sky One, India should now set its targets on becoming a global hub for pilot training.

In 2023, India issued a record 1,622 Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPLs), though the number dropped to 1,342 in 2024. Mr. Mirchandani stresses the importance of maintaining momentum through timely policy updates. “The DGCA’s new rating system for Flying Training Organisations (FTOs) is a step in the right direction, as it promotes higher training standards. Strengthening the domestic training infrastructure and developing dedicated airports for cargo and pilot training can have a lasting impact,” he says.

He also points to the need for cadet programmes structured around models used in Western countries, where training is often subsidised or partially funded. “The cost of pilot training is shaped by multiple factors, including rising aviation fuel prices, the use of imported simulators and spare parts and the need for experienced instructors, many of whom are brought in from abroad. Addressing these challenges requires effective coordination between the Ministry of Civil Aviation, airlines, training institutes and other key players,” he explains.

Mr. Mirchandani adds that introducing financial support mechanisms, such as subsidised loans or scholarships, can ease the burden for aspiring pilots. “Encouraging airlines to train and employ local talent not only helps fill the current gap but also contributes to the broader economy through job creation and reduced dependence on foreign-trained pilots,” he concludes.

In line with this push for gender equality, pilot recruitment has emerged as one of the most pressing areas of demand in the aviation industry. Earlier this month, while launching the Electronic Personnel License (EPL) for Pilots, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that India will need approximately 20,000 pilots shortly to support the sector’s rapid growth.

Taking a cue from the Minister’s words, industry experts highlight that since pilots are the backbone of civil aviation, encouraging more women to enter the profession will not only help meet the growing demand but also accelerate progress toward the DGCA's goal of achieving 25 pc female representation in the sector.

“Recently, we have seen reports of the Ministry of Civil Aviation informing Parliament that one in every seven pilots employed by six major airlines in India is a woman, which is a highly positive development. According to official data, women make up 15 per cent of India’s pilot workforce, compared to the global average of just 5 to 6 per cent. So, attracting more women to the profession will be a major step toward achieving gender parity in the aviation sector,” says Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman of Sky One.

He adds that increasing the number of women pilots can help reduce reliance on foreign pilots and strengthen the domestic talent pool. “A well-structured action plan should be implemented to encourage more women to pursue careers in aviation, beginning with early awareness programmes. Educating young girls about aviation and its diverse career prospects along with opportunities to interact with successful professionals can spark their interest and fuel their aspirations,” says Mr Mirchandani.

He says that collaborative efforts between organisations like Women in Aviation International, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and leading women aviation professionals can play a major role in increasing awareness. “Scholarships, government schemes and educational loans specifically designed for girls can help them overcome the financial challenges associated with pilot training, particularly in the case of low-income families,” adds Mr Mirchandani.

He also underscored the importance of airlines adopting gender-neutral recruitment policies to ensure women have equal opportunities. “Equally important is retaining existing women pilots through supportive schemes, inclusive leave policies and strict enforcement of zero-tolerance policies against sexual harassment,” concludes Mr Mirchandani.

Inauguration attended by Airport Authority officials, CISF, Leh Police and parking operator Barrel Scope Solution Pvt Ltd

Leh Airport, a critical gateway to the Ladakh region, is known for its unpredictable weather, extreme terrain, and heightened security requirements. Managing parking operations in such an environment demands a unique blend of advanced technology, skilled manpower, and operational expertise. 

The newly installed Boom Barriers, Ticket dispensing machines and synchronized clocks were inaugurated by the Airport Director, Mr. Ramandeep Singh Saini along with presence of Senior representatives from Leh Police and CISF. Speaking to the media Mr Saini said - "Primary objectives of introducing smart parking solution are twofold namely - faster movement of vehicle and optimum utilization of limited parking space. Some of the challenges faced in Leh as against others airports in India are unique, for example- Seasonal Rush, Unpredictable weather conditions, unscheduled VIP movement, etc… hence, by regulating parking space and creating an efficient traffic flow most of these challenges can be addressed."

Visitors are provided with a seven-minute grace period from time of entry and exit into the airport beyond which parking charges shall apply. There are various payment options such as UPI, QR Code, Cash, FASTag, etc.. and for frequent visitors a monthly pass system has also been introduced.

The refit will introduce 8 luxurious Business Class seats, 24 extra-legroom seats in Premium Economy, and 132 comfortable Economy Class seats on the A320neo.

The 3^rd edition of the mega festival was jointly organized by the Embassy of India in Vietnam, Consulate General of India in HCMC and Innovations India from 25^th - 31^st August 2024 marking a pivotal moment in the bilateral relations between India and Vietnam.

Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024 was announced during the Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh’s official state visit to India in July 2024 in the presence of Minister for Commerce and Industry of India Mr. Jatin Prasada and The Ambassador of India to Vietnam H.E. Sh. Sandeep Arya symbolizing the dynamic and evolving relationship between the two nations.

The festival that culminated on a high note amidst celebrity fervour featured trade, culture and tourism seminars along with deft performances providing a platform for business and community engagements between the two nations. The highlight of the festival was the participation of a number of celebrities, diplomats, dignitaries, artists, filmmakers, business delegations, senior government officials and important guests from both the nations coming together to enhance the economic, cultural, tourism and investment connections.

The Namaste Vietnam Festival curated by Internationally acclaimed Festival Curator and Filmmaker Captain Rahul Bali, has grown significantly since its inception in 2022 establishing itself as a premier platform for both commercial networking and cultural exchanges. This year’s festival was particularly noteworthy as it set new benchmarks in diplomacy, featuring an expanded program with a broader array of thought leaders from both the countries.

The festival was organized across Vietnam showcasing a diverse array of activities to generate possibilities for collaborations and was supported by a number of partners like Haduco, Samten Hills Dalat, 365 Group, Rex Hotel Saigon, Vietravel, Bank of India, Tata Motors, KCP and UPL.

Vietnam Airlines was the Partner Airline of the festival for the second year in a row and showcased its brand and service offerings at the festival while networking with Indian delegates. The introduction of these flights comes after consistent follow-ups with the Uzbekistan Embassy and tour operators and with crucial support from the Indian Embassy in Tashkent. The concerted efforts of the Goa Department of Tourism have played a critical role in making this connection a reality. In line with these efforts to expand Goa’s global reach, Goa Tourism will also be participating in the upcoming Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF).

Saudia Group Concludes a Successful Hajj Season 1445H
 

The success of Saudia's flights was attributed to its highly skilled crew, totaling 1.8 thousand Captains and First Officers, and 6.1 thousand cabin crew members, adhering to the highest industry standards. Across the 74-day Hajj operations, Saudia operated at full capacity, ensuring operational efficiency with its fleet of 144 aircraft, as well as 14 additional aircraft dedicated to Hajj flights. The pilgrims' spiritual journey was enriched through a seamless digital booking, diverse meal options, prayer announcements, and informative inflight content.

Saudia Cargo played a pivotal role, leveraging innovative cargo services and a modern fleet, capitalizing on the Kingdom's strategic location to connect continents together and execute digital transformation plans. During the Hajj season, Saudia Cargo operated 717 flights, transporting 98.9 thousand tons across 44.6 thousand export air waybills.

Saudi Logistics Services (SAL), the primary cargo handler for various airlines at the Kingdom's air terminals, provided essential logistics solutions and intermodal transport connections during the Hajj Season operations. SAL managed 3.4 million cargo shipments, totaling 76 million kg in weight, and operated 14.2 thousand flights, serving 59 airlines.

Saudi Ground Services (SGS), renowned for ground handling and airport solutions, contributed to the successful Hajj season, serving 12.7 thousand flights and 2.2 million guests, and managing 4.6 million pieces of luggage during arrival and departure.

CATRION, specialized in luxury hospitality and airline catering, served more than 7.7 million meals onboard.

Saudia Technic played a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence through aircraft maintenance, repair, and renovation services. Their operations spanned across 21 stations, with 22.6 thousand spare parts provided, 4.5 thousand maintenance hours logged, and 134 technicians deployed.

Saudia Ranks First Globally in On-Time Performance for the Second Consecutive Time
 

The report indicates that Saudia has achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and an on-time departure rate of 88.15%, operating 16,503 flights across its network of over 100 destinations in four continents.

Jaideep Mirchandani, Group Chairman Sky One

“India’s aviation sector is witnessing a major boom. Major airlines have already placed orders for new airplanes to meet the increasing demand. The government is also focused on the construction of new airports and the modernisation of existing ones. These expansion plans will create more job opportunities in all major aviation-related segments. Hence, there needs to be an emphasis upon developing and training adequate manpower through expert guidance, modernised methods and a supportive environment,” says Jaideep Mirchandani, group Chairman of aviation major Sky One.

Recently when asked about the skill shortages among technicians and engineers in the Parliament, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol noted that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued regulations under CAR-147 (Basic), which approves Basic Maintenance Training Organisations. He said that these regulations align with international standards set by ICAO and EASA. India also issued a record number of 1,622 commercial pilot licenses in 2023, including 292 for women.

“These are all huge positive signs and exemplify the government’s commitment to developing a talent pool to address pilot shortage and enhance the quality of training. Equal focus should be given to increasing the skills and employability of young men and women in related segments as well. This necessitates a multi-dimensional approach to skill development, extending to sectors like Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), to ably support India’s plan to develop into a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hub,” adds Mr. Mirchandani.

In May this year, the Airport Authority of India launched an internship programme, ‘Pradipti,’ to nurture an interest  in aviation and provide the youth with first-hand experience of the  functioning of airports. The initiative aims to familiarise the youth with the practical aspects of airport infrastructure, operations and air navigation services. “Such training is highly laudable as it will help generate interest in other segments of aviation and help job seekers to explore diverse options in the industry,” says Mr. Mirchandani and concludes, "Industry stakeholders, educational institutions and government bodies must synergise to meet the growing need for diverse skill sets in the aviation industry."

In international operations, Saudia transported over 9.1 million guests, reflecting a 24% increase from the previous year, and conducted 42,000 flights, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The airline's international fleet logged 199,000 flight hours, marking a 12% growth. Domestically, Saudia served more than 7.2 million guests, a 14% increase, with over 52,300 flights operated, recording a 10% rise. Domestic flight hours also grew by 9%, reaching 88,000 hours.
