APM Terminals Pipavav Celebrates Safety Performance

Completes three years of Safe operations working at the port

APM Terminals Pipavav is proud to achieve a milestone in their commitment to Safety by completing three years of Safe operations with zero fatalities and lost time incidents at the port on 16th August 2017. Considering the pace, different types of cargos and vessels being handled at the port, it is a significant accomplishment in the port industry.

Safety is an integral part of all operations at APM Terminals Pipavav. The port has embarked on APM Terminals’ designated Safety initiatives to ensure maximum Safety with collaborative efforts in: transportation, suspended loads and lifting, working at heights, stored energy and control of contractors.

 

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Keld Pedersen, Managing Director APM Terminals Pipavav said, “This is the result of our Safety culture, our continuous improvement mindset and training, monitoring and supervising the operations at all levels at the Port. I would like to thank and congratulate everyone working with us at APM Terminals Pipavav for achieving this feat. More than three years of safe operations at the port is an outstanding milestone for us as a port operator. This has only been possible because of our committed employees who embraced Safety in to their day-to-day operation at work. We will continue to work hard and upgrade the benchmark by ensuring Safe operations at the port.”
