Belonging to a family from Udupi, which has a vast experience in food retail and hospitality industry, the founder of GEETHAM, Murali N. Bhat, has also had a natural inclination to serve people from his childhood. The heavy virtuous influence of his family meant community service was deeply rooted in his lifestyle. The generosity he was exposed to as a child developed into his prime philosophy and dictated his choices in his adult life. Like many other Udupi based organisations across India, he believes in serving Lord Krishna through serving his Janah while discovering how to be a true Krishna sevak in the process. It is his family legacy to being associated with serving the society, through their restaurants or by feeding food for the needy.
Murali’s father rooted the family in business in the food retail industry in which Murali was actively involved in from his early 20’s. As Murali got older, his interests in the food retail industry diversified into restaurants. Since 2009 Murali has been associated with a Chennai based vegetarian restaurant brand and until recently, he managed 6 units across Chennai in said brand. This practice served more than 20000 people on a daily basis. With the popularity and the expertise gained from his experience, he is a renowned name in the restaurant industry.
