Sitting down with Manish Batavia for a free-wheeling chat, the former Australian speedster reflected upon Kohli’s decision to step down as the Indian T20 captain, David Warner's exclusion from the team, the pulling out of international players in the current leg of the IPL being played at Dubai and the state of the points table as the IPL resumes.

Brett Lee

"It's big news, when you read the statement you feel what he's feeling. He's been under a lot of pressure and maybe he just wants to step away. Maybe he believes that someone could do the job as well as him if not better. I think he was a terrific captain, the way he led the team, his aggression, loved that manner of control as well. He had the best of both worlds in terms of aggression and calm. It's a big call but I'm looking forward to now once the pressure is off for the phenomenal batting to come," he said.

He also discussed the IPL standings before the 2nd leg of the IPL that began on Sunday, 19th of September with Mumbai Indians Vs Chennai Super Kings and the decision of international players to pull out of the IPL.

SportsAdda Ambassador Brett Lee also believes Rajasthan will miss the services of their core Englishmen in an episode of SportsAdda presents T20 Crazy. Four English players pulled out of the IPL citing personal reasons and were replaced by Evin Lewis, Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim Southee, Tabraiz Shamsi respectively.

"Lewis and Southee are my pick of the lot, especially Tim Southee because of the experience and because he's the closest to Pat Cummins in terms of a replacement. It's a massive call when you drop someone like Warner. New captain or new leader is understandable, but to drop him completely, I don't get it. He is world class, he has to be in the team, he's been training really hard. He's definitely going to have a great 2nd half in the IPL if given a chance," Brett Lee signed off.

The show also offered other insight into everything that is IPL where Lee will also be conducting a host of fun activities including contests, quizzes, Q&As, bowling masterclasses and giveaways that will feature exclusively on the SportsAdda app, website and social handles.
