Hero Indian Super League Signs Up Six Iconic Brands as Sponsor Partners

Maruti Suzuki signs up as Associate Sponsor. PepsiCo India, Amul, Puma, Muthoot Group and Nise Gel come aboard as Official Partners of the League

Hero Indian Super League, today, announced that the league has signed up six iconic brands from diverse industry verticals as sponsors and partners for the league. The League is set to kick-off on Sunday,  October 12th, 2014  at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata. The opening ceremony of the league will be telecast starting 6:00 pm  on  eight channels of the Star network and also be aired on www.starsports.com, whereas, the on-ground stadium entertainment will start 5:20 pm onwards.
 
 
Joining Hero MotoCorp Ltd - the Indian Super League's 'Title Sponsor', is Maruti Suzuki which has signed up as the 'Associate Sponsor'. The Indian Super League is not limited only to automobile manufacturers as leading brands across industry verticals like the FMCG sector, Finance and Sports have all signed up in support of the League.
PepsiCo India and Amul are two of India's leading FMCG brands that have signed up as the Official Partners. The Muthoot Group, along with Puma and Dr Reddy's Nise Gel have also signed up as the 'Official Partners' of the League. Thus, these top brands have displayed confidence in the Indian Super League which promises to herald the Birth of a Footballing Nation - helping the development of the sport of football at the grassroots level.

This league will set the benchmark for every other sport in India and it will be telecast live on eight channels of the Star network: Star Sports 2 (English), Star Sports 3 (Hindi), Star Sports HD 2 (English), Star Gold (Hindi), Star Utsav (Hindi), Asianet Movies (Malayalam), Jalsha Movies (Bengali) and Suvarna Plus (Kannada). Furthermore, it would also be aired live on www.starsports.com.
 
The grand opening ceremony of the Indian Super League on Sunday, October 12th 2014, would have key performances including one by Bollywood Diva and international pop icon Priyanka Chopra, another by percussionist extraordinaire Mr Sivamani and the third by Salim Merchant of the Salim and Suleiman famed duoamongst others. Following the opening ceremony, viewers will witness some high voltage action at the mecca of India football - Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata - in the opening match between Atletico De Kolkata and Mumbai City FC. The Hero Indian Super League will feature eight Franchises and will feature 61 matches over 70 days. The top 4 Franchises in the league will contest the semi finals and the victorious semi finalists will meet in the Grand Final.
