CSR: BEL Builds Library, Auditorium for City College

BEL has constructed a new building housing a library and multi-purpose auditorium for the Government First Grade College, HSR Layout, Agara, Bangalore, at a cost of Rs. 56 lakhs as part of its CSR activities.

 

The building was inaugurated by Mr M L Shanmukh, Director (HR), BEL, on October 27, 2014, in the presence of Mr Satish Reddy, MLA; Dr B L Bhagyalakshmi, Director, Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka; Mr G Raghavendra Rao, Executive Director (HR)/BEL-Corporate Office; Mr Veeresh D Bevinamarad, GM (HR)/BEL-Bangalore; Mr Arunachalam G, GM (Engineering Services)/ BEL-Bangalore; Mr Nataraj Krishnappa, GM (Missile Systems)/ BEL-Bangalore; and other senior officers of BEL and college authorities. The new facilities have been built by BEL’s Bangalore Complex on the request of Director, Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka. The foundation for the new building was laid on August 22, 2013.   

 

BEL pursues CSR initiatives in the areas of health care, education, rural development, environment protection and conservation of natural resources. The Company sets aside 2% of its net profit towards CSR every year.
