ICT Academy Conducts ‘Bridge 2017’ Industry-Institute Interaction Event in Bengaluru

ICT Academy is a not for profit social Enterprise initiated in the year 2009 under the public - private partnership model, by the Government of India in collaboration with the State Governments and Industries. The organization was formed with representations from the Government, leading companies in the ICT industry and National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.

ICT Academy is endorsed and recommended by NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India Aayog), the National Planning body of Government of India as one of the unique organization for dissemination and replication, which is aligned to the Skill India Vision of the Government of India.

Themed `Future of Work’, Bridge 2017 witnessed participation Industry Leaders like Mr. V Balakrishnan, Chairman, Micrograam and Mr. Krishna kumar N, Executive Chairman, Mindtree Ltd.

Over 300 participants from the academic and the corporate community across India attended the conference that explored on technological trends and how they are reshaping the future of work, forecasting key areas of job disruption and evaluating ways in which policy makers; academia & industry leaders can adapt regulatory and economic frameworks in response.

The event brought together eminent speakers from different walks of life who shared their ideas and best practices for the upcoming talent pool. Mr. M Sivakumar, CEO, ICT Academy and Mr. B. Anbuthambi, VP, ICT Academy, were present.

As generations collide, workforces become more diverse and people work longer; traditional career models may soon be a thing of the past. Many of the roles and job titles of tomorrow will be ones we’ve not even thought of yet. This brings in huge responsibilities for all stakeholders in education to develop and deploy strategies for preparing the right talent for the future global opportunities. This conference is the first step towards addressing such issues and finding solutions” said Mr. B. Anbuthambi, VP, ICT Academy.
