Kunskapsskolan Lucknow hosted Lucknow’s biggest skill workshop for children between 2.5 – 14 years at its 5 acre campus located in Sushant Golf City, Lucknow.

The day-long event was attended by more than 180 children who participated in more than 10 workshops. Each workshop was focused at building a skill, which children could use in their daily life. It was fascinating to see the educational shift from conventional books to these enriching life skills which teach the child theatre, pottery, exotic arts, construction, woodwork, flameless cooking, first aid, self defence, and photography.

“Academics help you build knowledge and develop general awareness but doesn’t groom you for a skill which is needed to solve a critical problem, Says Kunal Bhadoo, CEO Kunskapsskolan Schools India.

“At Kunskapsskolan, we have a specialized life skills curriculum which will groom children for the future and focus on their complete development while strengthening academics and sports “, said Sunitha Nambiar, COO Kunskapsskolan Eduventures.

Specialists from the field of Self Defence and First Aid were engaged to help children understand what to do in critical situations. Students learnt about the different forms of art and created their own masterpieces, cooked food without using flame, and worked with wood and clay.

“This is just an insight into our life skills curriculum, our curriculum will cover this and much more which will groom our students to be prepared for any situation in life.” said Kunal

The students were seen walking away happily with their memoir from each workshop in the form of self made cookies and pizza, exotic art canvases, wood frames with thread work and clay works.
