Ramanavami is a very important festival for devotees of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir. Lord Rama heralded an era of an ideal state in which everyone was happy by living on the highest standard of God consciousness.  Lord Rama exuded the pure character of an ideal monarch. Even though He ruled in the Treta Yuga nearly 100,000 years ago, to this day His ruling is celebrated as Rama Rajya and sets the standards for governments to follow. His utter humility, detachment and obedience to His father are powerful statements of the standard of consciousness expected from those who are meant to lead the society.
