5000+ Students Poured at Asia’s Largest Exhibition & Summit of Media, Communication & Design show- The Edutainment Show in Mumbai Making it a Huge Success !

As they rightly say all that starts well ends well and so has The Edutainment Show in Mumbai!The Fourth edition of Asia’s largest educational exhibition, summit and awards organised by Events Capital, a Laqshya Media group company, has finally come to an end and it was nothing less than a grand success! The Edutainment Show began with an impressive opening on 16th May, 2016 at JW Marriott, Mumbai.

The event was honoured and inaugurated by Anant Rangaswami, Editor, Storyboard - CNBC-TV18 , Dr. Indu Shahani, Former Sheriff - Mumbai and Principal, HR College, Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Founder, Creative Director - Swastik Productions who lit the holy samay. 

While the first three years were a huge success in three cities, with over 40 top industry speakers , over 100 institutes participating and over 4000 students attending the exhibition and summit,The Edutainment Show 2016 grows to 6 cities Mumbai, followed by Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Guwahati and Ahemdabad. For The Edutainment Show the next Pit Stop after Mumbai will be in Bangalore on 30th & 31st April, 2016.

The students at the Edutainment Show were seen attending sessions where they got an opportunity to explore exciting career options in Media, Communication & Design Education and participated in informative workshops & seminars with media stalwarts - Shweta Minocha – Faculty, School of Fashion Styling & Textiles, Pearl Academy, Anjum Rajabali, Film Scriptwriter, Whistling Woods International, Parsheen Irani, Program Manager - ISDI WPP School of Communication to name few. 

The Day 2 had some very interesting seminars by notable personalities like Prahlad Kakkar, Tanmay Bhatt- Co-founder of comedy sketch group All India Bakchod, Mayank Shekhar - Indian Film Critic, Author & Journalist, Raghu Ram- Television Producer, Roshan Abbas - Managing Director - Geometry Global Encompass Networ & students were excited to talk to television and film personalities like Rishabh Sinha, actor, Viraf Patel, Model and actor, Claudia and more. The sessions concluded on DAY 2 with an incredible closing speech by Deepak Choudhary, Director & CEO – Events Capital and the organiser of The Edutainment Show. 

Naming few of the institutes that participated at The Educational Show were Pearl Academy, Delhi, Whistling Woods International, Amity University, ISDI, Shiamak Davar International, Symbiosis institute of photography, Whistling Woods International Institute, Mumbai, Design Keeda, North Point Centre of learning etc. 

Moving forward, The Edutainment Show saw some interesting seminars like Future of Fashion Forum, with panellists like Neeta Lulla and Nikhil Thampi, Inspiration- Film, Media, Entertainment & Fashion by Whistling Woods International, Advertising and Communication by ISDI & Design Conclave by DSK with panellists like Nachiket Barve, Mrs Amruta Fadnavis, Sonal Dabral and Subrata Bhowmick which received maximum response from the students and the attendees.

The Edutainment Awards

The Edutainment Awards also concluded on 16th evening as a part of the show. The edutainment awards are widely recognized as the gold standards in Media, Communication and Design education sector. Each year we attract hundreds of entries that exemplify the talent, dedication and innovation of institutes across  all aspects of education, showing us countless reasons why these institutions continue to prosper. Our esteemed judging panel has toiled over this treasure trove of excellence and our awards evening, where well over hundred leading educationists gather, gives us the perfect opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the extraordinary depths of Media, Communication and Design education sector. Starting from this year, The Edutainment Awards are open to all Indian education institutions offering courses in the Media, Communication and Design sector.

As part of the awards ceremony, Eminent Design & Communication Teacher Subrata Bhowmick was honoured with Lifetime Contribution honours.

The awards were meticulously charted out based on parameters assessing the merit of the institutes across India (Performance figure of 2 years, infrastructure, affiliations, syllabi, alumni & network). The top three colleges were felicitated with gold, silver and bronze trophies to mark them as the top destinations for media, communication and design.
