All Roads Lead to Goa this New Year

Whether it is Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Randeep Hooda or Bipasha Basu, TV personalities like Vivian D’Sena and Vahbiz Dorabjee, or even newly-weds Anjori Alagh (daughter of former Britannia MD Sunil Alagh) and Rohit Goyal (son of Supreme Steel owner); it seems like Goa is the preferred destination to ring in the New Year.

While some of them are choosing to let their hair down at various parties across the state, others are checking into plush hotels for some much needed ‘me time’ to bring in 2015.

Goa has been one of the preferred destinations among Indian and international tourists to celebrate New Year’s Eve. One can choose from happening parties by the beach, to trekking in the Western Ghats or even spend time bird watching (it is the best time of the year for this!) to welcome 2015.

Reinforcing its popularity as a year-end destination, the state welcomed around 700 passengers on December 30 via a holiday special train from Mumbai. The Goa Tourism Development Corporation has also organized a cruise abroad the Santa Monica on December 31, which will offer guests a taste of Goan food, music and dance.
