Allcargo Logistics Partners with Sadguru Jaggi’s Isha Vidya Foundation to Support Rural Education

Allcargo Logistics Ltd, one of India’s largest logistics companies listed on BSE & NSE, as part of its CSR initiative partnered with Isha Vidya Foundation, a non-profit NGO promoted by Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev to support rural education in the country for the second consecutive year.

Isha Vidya Foundation in association with Allcargo Logistics organized a Golf Jaunt on Friday, 4^th December at Willingdon Club, Mahalaxshmi. The objective of the event was to promote rural education and gather funds to support children’s education and schools. As a part of Isha Foundation’s social outreach programs, Isha Vidhya rural schools have been started in villages (under the umbrella of Isha Education, established in 2005) to provide high quality school education to underprivileged rural children who cannot otherwise access or afford it. In 2012, Isha Vidhya began to carry out critical interventions to improve the quality of education in rural Government schools.

Along with Founder & Chairman of Allcargo Logistics Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, leading corporates like Mr. Harsh Mariwala of Marico, Harish Thawani of Neo Sports, Mr. Rajesh Batra of Proline, Mr. Vijay Chauhan of Parle etc participated by playing for the cause, along with Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev. The funds collected by this event will be utilized in sponsoring education for thousands of rural children of the country. 

Commenting on the occasion Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty Founder & Chairman of Allcargo Logistics Ltd said: “Educating our country’s children is of paramount importance if our country wants to see itself as a developed society. Quality education has to be provided not only in cities but also in the rural areas and towns of the nation. I am proud to be part of such a novel initiative along with Sadguru and Isha Foundation team. A platform like a golf jaunt brings together corporate leaders to create awareness of about the initiative as well as expend all forms of support”.
