Ask to Bid by OctaFX: a Celebrity Show Marking the Company's 10-year Anniversary

This summer 2021, OctaFX, a world-scale broker, has turned 10. To mark the anniversary milestone, the broker launches a show called ‘Ask to Bid’, featuring Indian celebrities and a star host. As it is typical for OctaFX, the show combines entertainment with financial education.

Throughout the past decade OctaFX has evolved from a tiny fintech startup to one of the leading global brokers with a vast community all over the world. To mark this achievement, the broker has launched a dedicated show called Ask to Bid. The show gathered popular Indian actors and TV stars.

In three episodes, hosted by a renowned actor Ravi Dubey, the star guests Jay Bhanushali, Himanshi Khurana, and Aly Goni one by one will be offered 10 puzzling questions about finances, investments and related topics. Each of them will have a chance to win a grand prize of Rs. 3,000.000.

The basic rules of the show basically repeat the ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ show. Each participant will have two lifelines: 5050 and a call to a friend. The payout structure includes two guaranteed levels: Rs. 25,000 and 250,000. Guests are also allowed to quit the game at any level if they cannot answer a question and take the money which they get by that time.

OctaFX intended the whole show as also a charity project. Therefore the total of the money won by the star guests will go to Hemkunt Foundation for helping those in need. At the end of the last episode, a Hemkunt Foundation representative will take the stage and receive the check. As the OctaFX indicates, the funds will be directed to building infrastructure for education, training activities, and skills development in a local community in Madhya Pradesh. The purpose of these efforts is to mobilise the economic recovery, among other coronavirus-relief initiatives.

In addition to the entertaining part, OctaFX has prepared gifts for the show viewers as well. Here’s what the company representative Anna Raes said, “We hope this show will inspire our viewers, and they will also enjoy watching the star guests finding answers. On top of that, viewers will be able to participate as well. At the end of each episode, the host Ravi Dubey will introduce a special question for viewers. Those who suggest answers in comments below each video on YouTube will get a chance to win Rs. 25,000.”

The winners will be picked at random and announced at the beginning of the next episode as well as on the OctaFX official Instagram page. Winners of the third session will be announced on Instagram only.

The premiere of Ask to Bid is scheduled on 26 August, 12:00 p.m. IST. Upon release of each episode of the show it will be available on the OctaFX YouTube channel and the company website.
