BMS College of Engineering Bags BEL Quiz Trophy

BMS College of Engineering won the first ever quiz organised by Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), today (November 19, 2014) at its Bangalore Complex for students of engineering colleges in and around Bangalore.

Students from altogether 21 engineering colleges participated in the quiz, which covered engineering related topics, General Knowledge and current affairs. The team from BMS College of Engineering bagged the first prize comprising Rs.20,000 and a trophy. The team from R V College of Engineering won the second prize consisting of Rs.15,000 and the team from BMS Institute of Technology & Management won the third prize for Rs. 10,000. All the participants were presented certificates. The prizes were given away by Dr Ajit T Kalghatgi, Director (R&D), BEL; Mr Raghavendra Rao, ED (HR), BEL; and Mr V V Balakrishnan, GM (International Marketing), BEL.  

BEL organised the quiz to raise the general awareness about BEL among the student fraternity. BEL has also been organising awareness-cum-lecture programmes at Bangalore-based engineering colleges as part of the awareness drive.
