BSE Institute Receives Global Award for 360° Financial Skill Development Program

BSE Institute Ltd, has been awarded the Global Best Award 2014, in Asia by the Conference Board of Canada. The award was conferred by the Conference Board of Canada (CBoC) and the International Education Business Partnership Network (IPN). BSE Institute Ltd, won the prize for the Asia region. The aim of this award is to encourage collaborative learning and global networking in business, education and community organizations.

BSE Institute Ltd (BIL) received this award for its campaign for Creating 360⁰ financial skill development program in districts of India with a predominantly rural population to achieve 100% financial literacy. The hallmark of this program is the unique approach adopted by BIL to simultaneously skill various stake holders of the locality and bring about a transformation in the skill ecosystem of the locality. The approach adopted by BIL, for addressing the financial skilling of various stakeholders in the community simultaneously is built on the strength of community interactions.

BIL’s 360⁰ integrated community skill development model is completely aligned with the Prime Ministers objective of skilling India. The Prime Minister’s ambitious Skill India project is a nation building exercise and has been accorded the highest priority by Government of India. The movement has the power and purpose to unite the whole nation as one. Achieving the target of skilling 500 million by 2022 will also help in meeting the inclusivity agenda of this government by benefiting citizens across the country. 

The Conference Board offers the Global Best Awards celebrating effective business-education partnerships. Winners are selected based on themed categories, such as youth employability skills. Submissions are accepted from each of the following regions: Africa, the Americas, Europe, Pacific Ocean and Australia.

In March this year, BSE institute trained a group of 40 young women from economically weaker sections of the society in financial and soft skills, and entrepreneurship at Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh.
