Mr. Manoj Gaur, President, CREDAI NCR says on TOD policy:

“It is certainly a welcome step. The announcement of the transit-oriented development could be a game changer for realty sector in Delhi. TOD policy is surely going to pave way for mission Housing for All as development of housing is always preceded by an infrastructural push in the region.

It's a great initiative as it maximizes the use of a transit corridor. With TOD, rationalizing of the floor space index becomes possible while creating a revenue opportunity for the government. It also allows developers to maximize on the available floor area ratio. An FAR of 400 will allow vertical growth to fulfill the growing housing requirement in the capital.

This move will also boost investors’ sentiments and would encourage them to invest in the region. We are confident that government will ensure speedy approvals and single window clearance to execute the planning on ground.”
