ICICI Lombard Introduces ‘Photo Quote’ Feature on its Mobile App “IL Insure”

For many of us buying a motor insurance policy is a tedious task. We need to fill forms requiring host of personal as well as vehicle details to obtain an insurance quote. This is especially the case when we are planning to switch from our existing motor insurance company to a new one. In this world of smartphone and instant updates, following this traditional process of manual submission of information seems like a thing of the past.

Keeping this changing trend in mind, ICICI Lombard, one of India’s leading private general insurance company has introduced the first-of-its-kind ‘Photo Quote’ feature on its mobile phone app. The ‘Photo Quote’ feature empowers customers wanting to purchase ICICI Lombard’s motor insurance policy to obtain an insurance quote by simply providing a picture of their existing motor insurance policy using the Photo Quote feature available in the IL Insure mobile application.

Once the customer submits the picture, within a few minutes he will receive an automated message from ICICI Lombard containing a detailed quote with customer and vehicle information prepopulated. If the customer agrees to purchase the policy, he simply has to pay the quote amount, since all details pertaining to the proposal are already populated. This feature, which is the first among Insurance companies in India, facilitates easy transactions enhancing the customer’s purchase experience.

Apart from the ‘Photo Quote’ feature available on the mobile app, customers can use host of other features installed in the app. They can purchase or renew Health, Motor and Travel Insurance policies. They can also locate the nearest network hospitals, OPD centers & Pathology Laboratory. On the motor side, they can locate the nearest garage in case of a vehicle breakdown. Customers can also track the status of claims across health, motor and travel segments.
