Diverse initiatives were also undertaken across all sectors to achieve a cumulative energy saving of 102,990 GJ. Biodiversity assessments were conducted across the Group’s manufacturing and real estate sectors. In addition, all Mahindra Group companies are now moving towards the use of renewable power in their operations. One stand out is Mahindra Two Wheelers, which sources 20% of its power requirement from solar energy at its Pithampur manufacturing plant. .

On the Corporate Social Responsibility front, Mahindra has increased its investment by a massive 95% during 2014-15 over the previous year. This speaks to the Group’s commitment to give back to society and in particular to the communities in which it operates.
