Plastindia 2015 Exhibition to Boost 14 Million MT Consumption in February 2015

Plastindia 2015 Exhibition, one of country’s leading plastics related event, will be held from 5 to 10 February 2015, at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The exhibition promises to bring together about 150,000 business visitors and 1600 top class exhibitors from Indian and 30 countries, at a showcase extending across 125,000 sq./mt.

 

Shri Ananth Kumar, Minister, Chemicals & Fertilizers, India and Smt. Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat will inaugurate the event amidst much fanfare and will also release the plastics ‘Industry Status Report’ and the exhibition directory.

 

Plastindia Foundation, apex body for plastics in India and the federation of the significant plastics industry bodies from the India, the exhibition will showcase the latest in technology, innovation, processes, products, responsible plastics management, recycling and a whole host of related aspects of plastics.

 

With consumption of plastics estimated at 14 million MT by 2015, India is a potential market for plastics. India’s considerable economic growth and progress in the field of agriculture, packaging, telecommunication, infrastructure and automobile industry offers tremendous growth opportunity for plastics.

The new arena created with the help of the Gujarat government will showcase new facilities for the country”.

 

Concurrent to the event, an international conference, titled, ‘Gateway to Innovations,’ will be held at the Convention Centre, The Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. While the presentations and business sessions would revolve around this theme, the conference will be an ideal platform to explore the ideas, uncover the solutions and develop the opportunities.

 

The exhibition will also host the fourth Proplast exhibition, which will showcase the global standard capabilities of India’s plastics processing fraternity. Also being held concurrently would be the 24th ASEAN Plastics Forum, the sixth Plasticon Awards, the Wintech Technology Transfer initiative, as well as numerous B2B meets on investment, finance, knowledge sharing, etc.

 

A rebate of 5% will be offered on purchase of machinery from Gujarat based companies and 3% on machinery to companies outside the state, during the exhibition period. Purchase of raw materials will have further subsidies on VAT and 5% subsidy on the interest on purchase of machinery.

 

With participants travelling to Gujarat from foreign countries, Emirates is offering weekly flights to Ahmedabad from Dubai. Jet Airways and Emirates are also running special discounts for all visitors and exhibitors of Plastindia 2015 Exhibition. There are special shuttle services for internal transfers to important strategic points at the exhibition ground and Mahatma Mandir.
