Sukaran Singh Appointed MD & CEO of Tata Advanced Systems

Mr. Sukaran Singh has been appointed the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), Tata Sons’ subsidiary for itsaerospace and defence business. Mr. Singh, who joined the Tata group in 2003, isa Director of TASL.

 

TASL provides integrated solutions for Aerospace, Defence and Homeland Security. In a short span of five years, Tata Advanced Systems has become a significant player in the global aerospace market, becoming the premier manufacturing partner for global OEMs including Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, Cobham Mission Equipment and RUAG Aviation for their global requirements. It has capabilities throughout the entire Aerospace value chain from design to full aircraft assembly, and is poised to be a major player in India in this sector. It is also engaged in development and assembly projects in missiles, radars and in other high technology areas for Indian customers. The Tata group has identified aerospace and defence as a focus area.

Tata companies with significant scale include Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Global Beverages, Tata Teleservices, Titan, Tata Communications and Indian Hotels.
