This National Doctors Day, Manipal Hospitals Expresses its Gratitude Towards the Selfless Doctors of the Society

In situations where lives are at stake, it is the doctor who can be the difference between life and death. The skills and dedications of a doctor help increase the life expectancy and well-being of a society. National Doctors Day is celebrated all over India on 1st of July to honor the contributions of doctors to the society. It is celebrated on the birth and death anniversary of one of the most famous physician of India, Dr. B C Roy to honor and tribute him.

This July 1st, Manipal Hospitals celebrated and honored the services of the doctors @ManipalHealth, through their #ThankYouDoctor digital campaign. This campaign focused on the importance of expressing gratitude towards the doctors and their contributions like the long hours of their work, their compassion, and the effort they put into practicing medicine was recognized across the country. The audience were asked to share instances where the love and care of a doctor made a difference in their lives. The #ThankYouDoctor campaign which ran for 1 week reached around 2,50,000 users and helped them get new 700 Facebook fans. 

The audience shared their heart whelming experiences and expressed their gratitude @ManipalHealth towards their doctors through special 'Thank You' notes. Manipal Hospitals received an overwhelming response from the people, and more than 100 'Thank You' notes were received. 5 lucky winners got a chance to feature in the ‘Thank You Doctor’ video made by the Manipal Hospitals team. This video also featured Dr. H Sudarshan Balal, the Chairman along with Dr. Ajay Bakshi, MD & CEO & Dr. Nagendra Swamy, Sr. President of Manipal Hospitals conveying their gratitude to all the doctors who have been an integral part of Manipal Hospitals.
