Do you offer press release writing service?

For now we are not offering any press release writing service but our Newsdesk editors take a close look at your press releases from an editorial eye to see if there is any scope of improvement from a structural or grammatical viewpoint.

A lot of times our editors make suggestions to modify the headlines or first paragraphs to make them more impactful and hence increase the effectiveness of the distribution. These changes will be proposed to you on email for your approval.

How much time will it take to process my press release?

During regular working hours, it takes approximately 30-40 minutes to process a two A4 page press release with regular font size. If accompanied with image/s and video/s, it takes processing time of another 10 minutes per image or video. These are indicative timelines and depending upon the volume of the incoming press releases on the given day it may take more time but in that case our Newsdesk team will give you a heads up of the timelines.

What should I keep in mind while preparing my press release?

It is important to prepare a press release which is newsworthy, which means that it should be written with a sense of purpose to address the target audience whether they are your customers, prospects, investors, vendors, prospective employees or other stakeholders.

To maximize traction and get attention from a journalist, ensure that you are providing him with content that helps him do his job better, and he is able to use your content, or get in touch with you directly for more information, for his industry story or news article, and in the process he gives you visibility by either writing about your product or taking a quote from you.

Other elements of a good press release include:

  • An impactful headline that conveys the message clearly. These days headline forms an inherent part of SEO so it should have the relevant keywords, your brand and should preferably be of a length of 65 characters (about 20-22 words)
  • Press release should address who, what, where, when, how and why as much as possible
  • Content within the release with anchor links to product/landing pages on your website
  • Company logo
  • Multimedia - images and videos (preferably under 2 minutes), with captions under 60 characters
  • Relevant quote (from your CEO, the relevant influencer or senior executive)
  • A strategic Boilerplate. It is an “About Us” paragraph which includes the facts about your company and the positioning statement
  • Media contact information with name, designation, email and phone number
  • For listed companies, their Reuters, Bloomberg stock ticker symbols or ISIN
