GDL is a leader in Container logistics in India and operates port-side Container Freight Stations (CFS) in Nhava Sheva, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam and Kochi while its subsidiary, Gateway Rail Freight Limited, the largest private container rail transportation company in India, operates a fleet of 25 rakes and 265 trailers between Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Pipavav and its owned Inland Container Depots (ICD) in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ludhiana and its domestic terminal at Navi Mumbai.
Snowman provides temperature controlled storage and distribution solutions across India and is also the largest player in the industry with over 95,000 pallets of storage in 19 cities and a fleet of over 250 refrigerated vehicles. Gateway Distriparks Limited today announced that the fifth rail linked container terminal of its subsidiary, Gateway Rail Freight Limited at Viramgam near Ahmedabad has been notified by Western Railway for handling container traffic.
