Adani Group Unveils Adani Institute of Infrastructure for Management & Engineering

With an objective to produce specialists in Infrastructure segment, Adani Group announces admissions for Adani Institute of Infrastructure (AII) offering full time Management and Engineering Programs starting this year. The Infrastructure Institute is approved by AICTE and the 4 years undergraduate program in Engineering is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU).

While the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Engineering (AIIE) offers B.E degrees in Civil & Infrastructure and Electrical Engineering; the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM) is offering fully residential, 2 year PGDM in Infrastructure Management along with its signature 15 month Executive PGDM program in the same discipline for experienced professionals.

Supported by the Infrastructure conglomerate- Adani Group, the Institute is aligned with the group’s vision & commitment towards contributing to nation building by generating and disseminating technological knowledge of highest quality; thereby, motivating the youth of the country to “Be the Nation Builders”, through continuous industry engagement and multidisciplinary research based curriculum in the offered courses.

Giving a holistic view about the infrastructural need of the country, Chairman & Founder, Adani Group, Shri Gautam Adani candidly says, “Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched a campaign of “Make in India” on August 15, 2014. I believe, for making “Make in India” successful, we need to strengthen our basic Infrastructure like roads, power, port, mining, airports, railways, oil & gas pipelines, renewable energy etc. along with social infrastructure like primary education, healthcare, academic institutes, water supply, waste management, vocational training, etc.”

Adding to his view, the Managing Trustee, Adani Foundation, Dr. Priti G. Adani, opines, “In order to attain the much aspired status of a developed nation, I believe India as a country is blessed with all necessary requisites including a substantial percentage of youth. The only requirement is empowering these youths with proper education and knowledge. As in today’s context, Infrastructure industry is the key for our country’s much deserved growth & development, we as Adani Institute of Infrastructure are equipping these the future generation for shouldering engineering and managerial responsibility in the infrastructure and allied sectors."

Talking more about the Institute, the Whole-time Director, Adani Group, Dr. Malay Mahadevia says, “The Adani Institute for Infrastructure will be the first of its kind in India which will impart high quality education along with industry interface and applied research in the sector. The programs are aimed at preparing competencies amongst the students so that they align their career and serve our nation’s need in Infrastructure sector.”

Dr. Mahadevia adds, “Besides a strong theoretical syllabus corroborated with ample case-studies, the students and the faculties will have provision of frequent visits to live infrastructure project sites. In fact, we have designed a buddy-scheme wherein students will get access to Industry mentors as “Buddies” who will primarily be responsible to guide & handhold every student during their scholastic journey at Adani Institute of Infrastructure and prepare them for the corporate world. I am sure this kind of exposures and pedagogy will not only help the students develop their capacities, but understand their interest areas in building varied infrastructure assets for the nation.”

In line with this, the Institute has introduced a merit based attractive scholarship scheme to provide financial assistance to meritorious candidates passionate for taking up Infrastructure studies. Further, Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM) has also announced a special one-time incentive scheme to encourage girl students who are keen to pursue Infrastructure Management program.
