Airtel Invites Customers on Other Networks to Experience Airtel 4G

• Following a compelling response from existing customers, Airtel has now opened 4G trials for select customers from other networks

Bharti Airtel Limited (“Bharti Airtel”), a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, today announced that following the tremendous success seen by the launch of Airtel 4G trials in Mumbai – the company has now extended Airtel 4G trials to customers on other networks. As part of this, select number of customers joining the Airtel network will be able to enjoy blazing 4G speeds at 3G prices.

On May 16 2015, Airtel had launched 4G trials exclusively for its customers in the city and offered a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G. These early adopters signing up for the 4G trials are providing crucial feedback on their service experience and support Airtel in its wider commitment towards delivering a world-class 4G network for its customers across Mumbai.

Given the interest expressed by customers on other networks, the Airtel 4G trials are now being extended to select user customers as well. To move to Airtel 4G, non-Airtel customers with 4G ready mobile phones can walk into their nearest Airtel Store or simply log onto www.airtel.in/4G.

In order to massify the availability of 4G devices for customers and build onto the currently nascent 4G devices’ ecosystem, the company has also launched a new partnership with Flipkart and Motorola. As part of this, Airtel will soon be offering a Rs 500 cashback on Moto E 4G purchased from Flipkart.

Airtel 4G customers will experience superfast internet speeds and enjoy capabilities like high definition video streaming with zero buffering, downloading 10 movies in less than 30 minutes, uploading entire photo albums in less than five minutes (i.e. uploading two high resolution photos per second), connecting multiple devices without compromising on the experience, etc.

Airtel also offers an affordable WiFi hotspot device that allows compatible mobile devices latch onto the 4G network and experience superfast 4G speeds.

Earlier in April 2012, Airtel had launched India’s first 4G service in Kolkata. Airtel’s 4G services are now available across major cities in India including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chandigarh and Amritsar.
