Found in late 2013, GrabOn, a Hyderabad based coupons and deals aggregation website has created a strong presence in the country within no time. The website is seeing traffic of more than 20lakh users every month. The site has listed over 2000 validated deals and coupons from more than 600 websites like Flipkart and Amazon to stand among India’s top 5 players.


The GrabOn Browser Plugin allows you to snag deep discounts from your comfort without searching for discounts explicitly. When you stumble upon an ecommerce store, GrabOn’s plug-in will provide you the deals and promotional codes available while you are window shopping on the merchant’s website. This is pushing relevant coupons to their users based on the requirements, whereas other existing models call their users to search for coupons on their websites before logging onto the merchant’s website.


“The increase in competition among ecommerce sites to acquire new customers through massive discounts has expectedly led to growing traction at couponing sites that enable users get products and services online at a steal. According to a recent release by APN, 74% online buyers in India visit coupon and deals sites before making a purchase.” says Mr. Bhanu Raju, Co-Founder of Grabon.


GrabOn started off in late 2013 by getting incubated in LandMark IT Solutions, Hyderabad. It was started off by a group of six fresh graduates and now has grown to a strong team of 15 people. Within a few months of its inception, the product raised a seed fund and is looking forward to raise next round of funding.


“With Indian ecommerce expected to reach INR 50,000 crore by 2016 according to Crisil, the opportunity is very huge. We have plans to go mobile as we are seeing rapid transformation in user patterns. Mobile is going to be a key revenue driver for us going forward. While the coupons market is saturated in countries like US, we see a lot of opportunity in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. We are laying aggressive plans to go global by 2015.” says Mr. Ashok Reddy, Co-Founder of LandMark IT Solutions.


With Google Online Shopping Festival (GOSF 2014) coming soon, GrabOn is confident of breaking their previous revenue records of generating 1 million in just three days. They have already partnered with the leading IT companies, set their campaigns and are eagerly waiting for the GOSF 2014 launch.
