GJF’s National Jewellery Awards also Presented to PC Jeweller, Reliance Jewels, TBZ-the Original, Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers & Jewels Emporium Amongst Others

The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF), the national nodal trade body for the promotion and growth of trade in Gems and Jewellery sector in India, presented the fifth edition of National Jewellery Awards (NJA 2015), the most prestigious awards in the gems & jewellery (G&J) industry to recognize the immense talent, innovation and creativity of its valued members and associates. PC Jeweller Ltd. won the awards for the Best Single Store of the Year – North and Best Retail Chain. Shri Pramod Kumar Agarwal (President, Derewala Jewellery Industries Ltd.) was crowned with Gem of the Year – North award and he received the award from Hon. Union Minister for MSMEs Shri Kalraj Mishra, who graced NJA 2015 ceremony as chief guest. NJA 2015 Paramparik Jewellery of the Year- North award was given to Hari Prasad Gopi Krishna Saraf Pvt. Ltd. – Gorakhpur. Shree Raj Mahal, Delhi, won the award for the best Jadau Jewellery of the Year - non-precious stone. Jewels Emporium, Jaipur, won the best colored stone jewellery of the year award at NJA 2015.

 

 

Presented by G.I.A. and Divine Solitaire, GJF NJA 2015 is an industry’s recognition from the industry, by the industry, to the industry. Under retail category, awards were given to Reliance Jewels, Mumbai, for best diamond jewellery in vogue; Reliance Jewels, Mumbai, for best diamond jewellery in bridal; Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri -The Original, Mumbai, for best gold jewellery in vogue; and Chintamani’s Jewellery Arcade, Mumbai, for best gold jewellery in bridal. In Jadau jewellery category, awards were given to Mahesh Notandass, Mumbai, for precious stone.  Jewels Emporium from Jaipur received the best coloured stone jewellery of the year. Also the Jury panel of the NJA awards selected three students from NIFT --- 2 from Bangalore and 1 from Gandhinagar, for the student category awards. Two more students --- one each from NID and Aesera Academy of Jewellery Design, were selected out of the remaining participants. Anand Shah (Mumbai) won unique jewellery design of the year award.

The sector has gained global popularity because of its talented craftsmen, jeweler designs, its superior practices in cutting and polishing fine diamonds and precious stones and its cost-efficiencies. GJF NJA 2015 is about crafting inspiration, passion, devotion and motivation for the sector. Honoring the innovation and creativity that inspires the flair of such talent is the core objective.”

This year, GJF also has unveiled an exclusive directory of all participating jewellery designs “NJA Design Digest 2015” which showcased all the master pieces of NJA 2015 participants. NJA Design Digest 2015 will be circulated to all GJF members and associations across India.

 

For best unique and innovative promotion of the year, Punjabi Saraf from Indore bagged the awards while Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers from Coimbatore received the awards for best advertising campaign in print, audio and visual. The best single store of the year region wise went to PC Jewellers Delhi (north), Kothari Jewellers from Jabalpur, L Gopal Jewellers from Guwahati, Dass Jewellers from Nagpur and KGK Entice (India) from Bengaluru. The best retail chain went to PC Jewellers from Delhi.

 

The other nationwide best jewellers’ (Paramparik Best Jewellery) awards were bagged by Manik Chand & Sons (Jewellers) Private Limited – Guwahati for Central East India; Navrathan Jewellers Pvt. Ltd. – Bengaluru; and Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, Mumbai. Mr. Nitin Khandelwal of Khandelwal Jewellers (Akola) accepted the Gem of the Year – West. Gem of the year - South was Shri Muthu Venkatram (of Mahalakshmi Jewellery President of Coimbatore Jewellery Manufacturer Association). Gem of the year – East & Central was Shri Sankar Sen (of Senco Gold & Diamonds). Shri Mithun Sacheti (Co-Founder & CEO CaratLane.com) was Yuva Gem of the Year. Shri G. Rajendran of GRT Group was crowned with Anmol Ratna award and his son GR Anantha Padmanabhan received the award from Hon. Union Minister for MSMEs Shri Kalraj Mishra, who graced NJA 2015 ceremony as chief guest.

 

Under Manufacture category, the best diamond, gold, Jadau and Platinum jewellery awards went to M/s Hari Krishna Group, Mumbai, Anand Shah, Mumbai, Rosentiques Fine Jewellery, Mumbai and BN Jewellers, Mumbai. The best C Z Jewellery Design of the year was bagged by M/s M. Mehta & Sons, Mumbai.

Shri Agwarwal has been on board of many trade associations like GJEPC, JAS, Sitapura Gems & Jewellery Association and Past Regional Chairman of GJF. Apart from this he is Chairman of modern jewelry institute IIGJ, Jaipur, an initiative by GJEPC. Shri Aggarwal was awarded with “Rajasthan Gaurav” by Sansakarti a Social Organization in Year 2012. His manufacturing units have bagged various state and national level awards like highest Jewellery export award from Govt. of Rajasthan and been adjudged biggest exporter of Silver Jewellery in India by GJEPC in year 2009. He was also awarded National Jewellery Awards for most preferred manufacturer of Silver Jewellery. Apart from these trade awards unit has bagged awards in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility and Efficient use, reuse and recycle of Water by RIICO (Rajasthan Industrial and Investment Corporation). His Philanthropic nature is not known to many, but he has contributed immensely to the development of society, be it through heathcare, education, donations or sponsoring charity events for underprivileged people.
