Gurjinder Singh from Kalinga Lancers Handed two Match Suspension by the Disciplinary Committee of Hero Hockey India League 2015

The Disciplinary Committee of the Hero Hockey India League met today morning to discuss the conduct of Gurjinder Singh in yesterday’s match (February 1, 2015) between Kalinga Lancers and Jaypee Punjab Warriors held at Bhubaneswar.

The incident involved Gurjinder Singh physically assaulting a player from the opponent team which clearly breached the HHIL Code of Conduct. The incident was proved by the video footage as well as Gurjinder Singh accepting the assault on the field. HHIL Disciplinary Committee has suspended Gurjinder Singh from two matches. He will not play the match against Ranchi Rays scheduled to be played on February 6, 2015 and Dabang Mumbai on February 8, 2015 respectively.
