ICICI Bank Organises Eighty Coin Exchange Melas in Vijayawada

ICICI Bank Ltd, India's largest private sector bank, organised 80 coin exchange melas in Vijayawada last week. These melas were organised at the Bank’s branches in the city at MG Road, One Town, Elluru Road, Bharathi Nagar and Poranki as well as at areas like Pushkar Ghat, Datha Complex, NTR Health University and Besant Road among many others.

 

The Bank organised the melas to commemorate the festival of ‘Krishna Pushkaram’, thereby offering convenience to the pilgrims who had travelled to the city from nearby towns. The melas were held under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India.

 

ICICI Bank periodically organises coin exchange melas to offer a free facility of exchanging acceptable soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins to the general public. These are much-awaited events that receive an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.

 

The coin melas held at Vijayawada saw participation of around 5000 people, where they exchanged coins worth Rs. 35 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Re.1.

 

ICICI Bank has 4451 branches and 14073 ATMs spread across the country at June 30, 2016. It has over 150 branches and around 320 ATMs in the state. The Bank has 6 branches and over 30 ATMs in Vijayawada.
