ICICI Bank Organizes Note and Coin Exchange Mela at Howrah Station in West Bengal

ICICI Bank Ltd, India's largest private sector bank, organized a note and coin exchange mela at Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal, under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India. Shri R. N. Kar, Regional Director, RBI inaugurated the Mela.

 

The Bank periodically organizes such melas to offer free facility of exchanging soiled and mutilated currency notes with coins or fresh notes to the general public. It is a much-awaited event that receives an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.

 

The event saw participation of over 800 people. The Bank exchanged total coins and fresh notes worth Rs. 35 lakhs in all denominations during the mela.

 

ICICI Bank has 3,850 branches, the largest network among private sector banks and 12,091 ATMs spread across the country (at December 31, 2014). It has over 180 branches in West Bengal. including three Touch Banking branches, which are operational round the clock. The Bank services its large customer base through a multi-channel delivery network of branches, ATMs, call center, mobile banking and social media banking.
