Jet Airways, India’s leading international airline, has been felicitated for its 'exemplary work ethic' and 'strategic human resource management practices', at the Economic Times HR Excellence Summit 2014 held in Mumbai recently. Jet Airways emerged as a winner amongst leading organisations from across sectors that stand out from their contemporaries in the HR practices across multiple roles including recruitment, learning & development and talent management.

Dr. Samar. B. Srivastava, Sr. Vice President – Human Resources, was felicitated on behalf of Jet Airways by Shri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resources Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in presence of eminent luminaries and dignitaries from the industry. The Economic Times Excellence Sumit, instituted by Bennett & Coleman, follows a structured selection process, and seeks to celebrate and recognise the efforts undertaken by an organisation in the area of strategic human resource management HR practices.

Receiving the honour, Dr. Samar. B. Srivastava, Sr. Vice President – Human Resources, Jet Airways said, “I would like to thank the Economic Times and most importantly our employees for this distinct recognition and honour. This particular award from the Economic Times bears special significance for us at Jet Airways, as it is a recognition of our leading HR recruitment strategies. The honour also stands testimony to the fact that our international services, while relatively young, have proven extremely popular with guests, further strengthening our staff’s commitment to continually raise the bar in terms of product and service quality.”

Cramer Ball, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, said, “It’s an honour to be recognised among the best HR professionals within the country. This award signifies our commitment towards embracing the ever evolving HR strategies and harnessing their power to create a more personalised engagement with our employees. Receiving this top honour assumes significance, coming from the most respected and coveted title in the HR excellence.”

Jet Airways was accorded “Amity HR Excellence Award" in 2008 for its best HR practices at the Global HR Summit, organized by the Amity University in Noida.
