Laser Show and Fireworks to Dazzle Bhubaneswar as Hero Hockey India League Gets Ready for a Flying Start

The third season of the long awaited Hero Hockey India League, in the presence of 7,000 hockey enthusiasts, is all set to get going at a magnificent opening ceremony at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, on 22 January 2015.

While the famous Perizaad Zorabian will unwrap the show and welcome the guests and spectators at the scintillating evening, it will be followed by a spectacular Laser Show. Enthralling the spectators for a while, the laser show will gracefully give way to the top Ollywood actors – Sabyasachi and Archita who will perform at their best, adding charm to the star-studded evening. After the performance, the Chief Guest of the event, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik will unveil the Hero Hockey India League Trophy for which the six participating teams will be clashing against each other over the period of next one month. The fireworks will adorn the sky until the teams - home side Kalinga Lancers and Dhoni’s Ranchi Rays step out on the turf to play the tournament opener.

Speaking on the opening ceremony, Chairman Hockey India League, Dr Narinder Batra said, “For the inauguration of the most prominent Hockey League of the world, we have tried and crafted a similarly delightful evening meant for our hockey fans, followers and spectators as well as our participating teams who are all geared to put up some brilliant game of hockey in the imminent month-long League. I am in no doubt that the ceremony will amaze each and every one who are present here or are witnessing it from anywhere, all over the globe. I wish all the best to our teams and players and look ahead to some brilliant hockey in the coming days.”
