Lutron Electronics, the leader in energy-saving wireless lighting and shade control, today launched myRoom – a cost-competitive light, temperature and shade control system for hotel guestrooms. The solution combines sleek aesthetics with intuitive design to control lights, shades and HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) in a way that creates a memorable experience for hotel guests and reduces energy costs for hotel properties.

In many hotel guestrooms, thermostats are not aesthetically coordinated with other controls in the room. myRoom combines Palladiom QS keypads and Palladiom QS thermostats for a beautifully coordinated installation with a sleek, clean, minimalist design. The Palladiom keypad and thermostat are available in plastic, glass and metal finishes and add subtle elegance to any guestroom. The large tactile buttons with backlit engraved text are simple to operate and find in the dark, while the large thermostat screen provides easy readability. The keypad and thermostat are also the first of their kind to feature flush buttons and faceplates that are made of the same material in all finishes for a clean aesthetic.

myRoom solutions are available for global use and offer two tiers to suit any property and budget need.

1. myRoom prime is a cost-effective option, ideal for three- and four-star hotel properties that do not require integration with other hotel management systems.

2. myRoom plus, ideal for five-star properties, is a fully integrated guestroom management system that integrates easily with other systems at the hotel.

Both myRoom prime and myRoom plus solutions feature:

3. Guest presence detection – systems use a combination of occupancy sensing, door open/close and keypad button press information to determine guest presence, maximize energy savings and create a superior guest experience.

4. Alena™ QS motorized drapery track solution – offers ultra-quiet, smooth performance for the user and a simple plug-and-play setup for the installer. It is available in both a wired option for myRoom plus and a wireless option for myRoom prime.

5. Pull-to-start shade control – allows hotel guests to conveniently control the shades or drapes in the room from the keypad, as well as manually through the “pull-to-start” feature that is activated with a gentle tug of the drapery fabric.

6. Reinforced vandal-resistant occupancy sensor – detects when guests are in the room, enabling automatic energy savings without inconveniencing guests.

myRoom solutions bring out the best in any hotel,” said Manjul Trehan, Country Head & Director Sales, Lutron Electronics India & SAARC. “It adds elegance and enhances the ambience, making it pleasant and a memorable stay for guests. Simple to use, intuitive solutions ensure that occupants can easily adjust shades, lights and temperature with a simple touch of a button. Addressing the growing concern of saving power and need for efficient energy saving solutions, myRoom utilizes guest presence detection to turn off lights when a room is unoccupied. With this, we aim to create a comfortable, inviting environment that allow guests to better appreciate their home away from home and become regular visitors of the hotel.”

“Design and style have always been essential elements in creating an exceptional guest experience,” said Olivier Perrigueur, Vice-President - Global Specifications and Business Development at Lutron Electronics. “With myRoom solutions, design-conscious hotels have a sleek coordinated system that empowers its guests with greater control over their guestroom environment.
