Sreejesh’s Growth is Inspirational and Admirable: Jaap Stockmann, Speaking Ahead of the Third Edition of Hero Hockey India League 2015

The Hockey India League witnesses a number of players who have made a stunning impact in the field of hockey in the international arena. One of the star player and ace ‘Dutch’ goalkeeper, Jaap Stockmann, is responsible for adding brilliance to the League.

Jaap Stockmann who represents Jaypee Punjab Warriors in the Hockey India League has a huge fan following, as the star goalkeeper who never fails to disappoint the crowd with his athletic abilities at the goal post on the field. With his capabilities to steal the show away singlehandedly, Jaap Stockmann earned the ‘Player of the Tournament’ title, at the Hero Hockey India League 2014 for himself.

Going by the records of the first edition of the Hero Hockey India League in 2013, Jaap Stockmann was named the ‘Man of the Match’ twice in the same tournament.

Speaking on the upcoming Hero Hockey India League 2015, Dutch Goalkeeper Jaap Stockmann said, “Hockey India League is a stage where world class players come together to perform and put up an excellent show for the fans of hockey and in a way to promote hockey as a sport. India is evidently one of the countries, which is responsible in identifying and developing supreme quality players at par with the international standard. One player that I look upto in the Indian team is their star goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, whose growth as a player is very inspirational and much admirable. I am looking forward for the upcoming HHIL 2015 to start and contribute in favour of my team to ensure a successful outing in the League.”

The inaugural day of the 3rd Hero Hockey India League will see Kalinga Lancers taking on Ranchi Rays on 22nd January 2014, in Bhubaneswar. Hero Hockey India League will be telecasted LIVE on Star Sports.
