TripAdvisor Announces Travellers' Choice Awards for Heritage Hotels

Rajasthan tops the list 3^rdtime in a row with 9 winning hotelsfrom the state

Kerala takes the second spot with 6 winning properties against 4 last year

Uttarakhand and West Bengal also register improved presence this year with 3 and 2 properties respectively

Imperial Hotel is the only winner from New Delhi

TripAdvisor^®, the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the winners of its 2014Travellers’ Choice^®Awards for Heritage Hotels. The list recognises top 25 heritage properties in India, based on the millions of valuable reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers.

Among the states, Rajasthan retains the title of the ‘official heritage state’followed by Kerala on the second spot though the number of properties from Rajasthan has come down to 9 this year from 12 in 2013.It is interesting to see Uttarakhandand West Bengal solidifying their presence with the former securing 3 wins this year vs 2 in 2013 and the latter securing 2 wins vs 1 last year. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh notched only 1 win this year vs 2 last year.

RawlaNarlai, Rajasthan moves remarkablyto 3^rd spot from 16^th in 2013
