Vodafone Reduces National Roaming Tariffs for its Customers

  • Reduction of 40% in all incoming calls while roaming

  • Vodafone customers will now pay 20% (local) & 23% (STD) less for calls and 75% less for texts on National Roaming

  • Special Roaming Tariff Plan (SRTP) for Prepaid & Post-paid customers

Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has announced the revised roaming tariffs on National Roaming effective May 1, after the telecom regulator has slashed ceiling rates.

 

Vodafone customers will now pay less for both local and STD calls on National Roaming. On roaming, for all outgoing local calls, a ceiling of 80 paise/minute has been fixed from the earlier Rs 1/min, and for STD calls it is Rs 1.15/min from earlier Rs 1.5/min. For incoming calls on roaming, a ceiling of 45 paise/minute has been fixed from the earlier 75 paise/minute.

 

Vodafone Customers will now pay up to 75% less for texts while on roaming. For a local text, it is 25 paise compared to Rs 1 before; and for STD texts, 38 paise from Rs 1.50 earlier, in accordance with the Telecom Regulator Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines.
