Yes Bank Partners Navi Mumbai Traffic Police for Road Safety Week 2016

YES BANK, India’s 5^th largest private sector Bank has partnered with the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police for the Navi Mumbai Road Safety Week 2016. The campaign will be held from January 10^th to January 23^rd 2016 and encompasses multiple activities aimed towards highlighting the importance of Road Safety to the citizens of Navi Mumbai and is expected to touch over 1,50,000 individuals.  YES BANK will also encourage participants during the period to take a pledge to ensure responsible behavior on road by becoming responsible citizens

In this endeavor, entire YES BANK cluster of Navi Mumbai would be proactively engaged with the community to spread awareness about the road safety through various workshops, seminars, social media & YES COMMUNITY events across more than 100 branches in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai. We truly believe that this holistic initiative will go a long way in saving lives of not just drivers & co-passengers but also that of every citizen of Navi Mumbai on road. “

Road Safety is a vital area of concern for India and YES BANK has undertaken multiple initiatives in the past as well to highlight the importance of Road Safety. All 750 branches of YES BANK across 29 states and 7 Union Territories will observe January 10^th to January 23^rd as a Road Safety Week for its YES COMMUNITY Program and they will engage with various stakeholders directly to contribute to the community. Last year, in January 2015, YES BANK had launched the Road Safety Campaign alongside the National Road Safety Week and touched over 75,000 individuals.

It is therefore important that through this collaborative movement we re-iterate the message of responsible citizenship.”

In 2014, YES BANK also partnered with the Government of Goa to create awareness on Road Safety in a program which received great response from the citizens.

Last year, the YES COMMUNITY program had focused interventions on issues such as energy efficiency and conservation, water stewardship, health and safety, civic awareness, media for social change, bio-diversity enhancement, financial literacy, women empowerment and development of local disaster management plans amongst others.
